Changes to Bomber Survivability

We’ve been waiting for ages for this…
Just need to give a higher altitude spawn for bombers and it might be enjoyable again.

If a rework of bombers airframe is being implemented, maybe in a somewhat near future we could get a rework of the aging post-pen calculator on tanks ? With spall liners and much more complex interiors, bugs happens more and more ( often Russian autoloaders, auto-canon munitions, spall-liners, …)
I’m praying for time like this.

Most of bombers have rather poor climbing speed, especially considering they suffer from in-game 30% minimum fuel limitation which doesn’t help.

could the Mosquito possibly see this change?

They’re Bomber-derived too

And the Beaufighters

And you have an air spawn. From there you can climb really high for 30 minutes.

TU-4 )))
Tu-95 )))

Stona also I have a very important question:

The aircrafts and helicopters currently featured in game are designed on an overly simplified damage model that consists of Separated static parts that When shot or damaged it gets broken separately, why is that? Instead of calculating real-world structural fatigue or stress deformation, aircraft wings and tails are divided into simple box modules. When a main wing spar absorbs enough damage, it turns “black” and instantly snaps off entirely. In reality, combat aircraft structures are built with massive redundancy; a hit rarely severs a wing cleanly unless the aircraft is pulling extreme G-forces later in flight.

When will this gets more realistic and accurate to real life simulation?

Speaking of bombers…
One question.
Does this apply to aircraft of similar size?

Like do-217s, P-61s and even twin engine fighters? Did they see a small buff at atleast? They are the size of at least a medium bomber like a B-25.

Or was it simply to aircraft with the “bomber” tag?

We cant, because Snail reduced the match duration to 25 minutes like 5 Years ago

Sunderland at lower BRs too

Thing already used to be durable, it’ll only become more durable now

Add Be-6 and Qing-6 now, really turny too.

I suppose N.C.3000 and H8K can go in there too.

He 177 too :D

Is Tu-2S included? It would be odd if it’s not, as it’s primary role is frontline bomber and it’s made from Tu-2, something Tu-1 is made upon.

changes on bomber surveilability should also include the reduction of bomb-load explosion triggered by gunfire - actually (arcade) this is the most reason for destruction - not structural fails

can we also get a rework on the survivability of the aircraft such as A-10 and Su-25 it is simply laughable how easy it is to take them down, even thou they both were made with survivability in mind as a primary objective. especially how fast the fire takes out controls from the aircraft, most of the time there is simply no time to even use fire extinguisher b4 u loose all crontrol of the aircraft from one small fire.

I also wonder whether, even after the update, guns like the ADEN and DEFA will still be able to take down bombers with a single burst. Their firepowers are extremely high even by real-world standards, so it should be nearly impossible for a bomber to keep flying after taking a solid burst from them.

Mauser (BK27) for the win :D

Ouuu- nice looking really good.

Can’t wait to see this in game. Finally be able to play the aircraft type that interests me the most.
