Changes to Bomber Survivability

I guess that could be an option, but seeing the difference between countries with the same aircraft is too interesting.

one dosnt exlude the other, you can still have them separated in the global vehicle stats but grouped for the player vehicle performance comparison

Maybe this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but doesn’t anyone else feel like there might be more to such a drastic change to bombers than meets the eye?

The survivability issues bombers have been struggling with have been around for years. It’s not like these problems couldn’t have been addressed much earlier with a more thoughtful approach.

Let’s be honest, Gaijin didn’t do this just for the players’ sake. The bomber buff has led to more people using bombers in matches, which also means more players buying premium bombers with Golden Eagles — $$$.

With a new Battle Pass coming soon, the game’s anniversary approaching, and the Christmas holidays in December, there will be plenty of opportunities for players to grind for new vehicles.

So, what if this buff was actually intentional, designed to pave the way for the introduction of a new bomber or several new bombers? Before the changes, players might have completely ignored them because, under the old meta, bombers were essentially flying targets with very little chance of survival.

Maybe the idea was to make bombers more viable first, increase interest in playing them, and then introduce new bombers that players would actually be willing to spend money or Golden Eagles on.

Am I reading too much into this, or does anyone else think the timing is a little suspicious?

oh I see those stats are vehicle specific.

Im not too sure about the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory of trying to drum up sale money specifically, but I also refuse to believe that these changes made it through any of gaijins internal testing without crystal clear understanding that they went far too far with it.

I wouldnt be suprised if they just wanted to completely up-end prop Air RB and try something completely different, even if for just experimentation sake. For what reason? I don’t know. But I’m not convinced Gaijin didn’t know that these changes were going way too far.

The first and most important thing I’m suspicious about is that it sounds like ChatGPT wrote your post. It stinks of LLM.

As for the rest, Gaijin has constantly added bombers to the game, well before the damage model became a thing. Some were even popular premiums that broke entire lobbies, like the Ju 288.

Or maybe they just had higher priorities and this was fairly down the list, bro. Your whole post is absurd because you’re trying to attribute mysterious significance to a perfectly mundane topic.

I think this was definitely an element and if so they were right. The meta in air was incredibly stale. The fact that even after the correctional nerf, bombers are pretty much immune to airfield AA and can therefore hard counter airfield camping tells you everything you need to know about Gaijin’s current mindset imho.

I just saw 2x 155mm HE shells from a PzH 2000 not do anything other than taking out 2 engines and fuel tanks of a B-29 nuke carrier.
A single 155mm should rip that bomber’s wing into tissue paper. The bomber damage model is absolutely broken. Direct hits too. First on the engine, and the second direct hit was on the underside of the wing. same wing.
