Ah, ok, I said that about strategic bombers such as Tu-95, B-52, Yak-28. On their BR, people have missiles and speed. And altitude is nothing.
And they just can’t land. Better just make them not land then, idk, they are tooo inert.
I love using the Do 217s but the problem is that bombers spawn so high up and the Do 217 has such weak engines so it’s not the best to use for that sadly, but I still try, but usually I have to battle fighters.

Yeah, bombers should just spawn with everyone else now, as they don’t need a special separate respawn because they are not that vulnerable.
Either make it on interceptor respawn height, or make them take off from field…

Interceptor spawn height behind the airfield and the option to just spawn on the airfield would be perfect!

Since i did a poll on the dev server, while the dev server section were still open, I thought I might as well do one for the live server. Also made it so that it is more nuanced, by adding a bit more extreme choices.

I mean, I was shot by a-a missiles (1-2 missiles were enough), I shot enemy bombers with g-a missiles and one-shot them with Bravy, I was 50-50 destroyed/survived in naval and air battles on bombers…
I find them pretty well balanced now, as a first iteration of bomber rework. They said in the future there will be more, so, I want to see what will be there.

In Ground Arcade bombers spawn more frequent and they’re immune to ground fire. SPAAs can’t shot down bombers anymore. They spawn, fly over the ground battle map, tanking everyone, dropping bomb series and reach the exit zone on the other side of the map. Ground players are at their mercy. Sometimes B-29 even tanks three fighters on their tail and several ground players at the same time.
Sounds like ground arcade should not have bombers at all, why are they there, why not just attackers?
In a Me 264 I got pilot sniped by a Yak because he slowly climbed close to me while my rear gunner was reloading. He carefully aimed and killed him. I’ve been killed in a Ju 88 by a Yak 1, he cut my tail off. I’ve been killed in a Do 217 be an American plane because he blew my tail off with a rocket.

Dunno, cause heavy 4 engine bombers zooming over the battlefield are cool? With that new damage model they’re almost immune and 2000lb bomb carpets clear the map very efficiently.
Because ground battles are the only place where bombers can attack real human targets. It’s even worse when a few attackers have the new damage model making them extremely powerful
I saw an impressive kill by p-40, Iirc, after spending all ammo he rammed my tail and cut it in half. We both crashed.

A spitfire lit my engine on fire in a Do 217. He then crashed into me, broke his propeller and then proceeded to crash into the ground. I crashed later because I couldn’t get to the airfield in time with one engine.

Is there a list of planes which might be used in a fighter role and have this new DM?
Something like a Mosquito with guns, TIS MA and stuff like this.
I kinda wish enemy planes that ram you could stuck to your fuselage and weight it down even after being killed. It would be sick, trying to RTB with a spitfire partly stuck in your fuselage.

Someone could argue the Do 217s but those handle horribly, fly like a brick, engines ignite easily, they’re very slow, and have a horrible turn time. Do 217 is the only one I know of tho
