Changes on maps, filter, BR

The latest map changes are a MISUNDERSTANDING. Ardennes - no possibility of leaving the respawn, similarly in the Carpathians and Tunisia. For what purpose do you reduce or exclude parts of the map from the game? For example Japan? Excluded part of the terrain in the middle of the map. You are killing this game, slowly and finally you managed to make it an arcade game like WOT. Another issue is the map filter, which does not work in any way. Premium users should have freedom in choosing a map. Another issue is matchmaking BR by plus/minus 1 is definitely too much at the moment. Like many players, I left a lot of money in this game, but until some positive changes regarding maps, their filters, and BR I do not intend to spend even a cent.

You 100% correct. Now wait for an army of idiots telling you you are wrong.Led probably By AlvisWisla

Edit ,I have also stopped spending now for the same reason.I dont trust the game makers anymore or have faith in what the future brings.

‘Rework’ that no one asked from the game community.

And which throws you in the same maps you were before in a row. I had 7 Seversk-13’s in a row once, it is that terrible.

“If you open the map, and make it open and big. without urban maps. Players aren’t going to play the objective!”

This is the basic thing i get told about when i talk about how urban maps and small maps don’t belong in War thunder. Corridor maps don’t belong!

“chokepoints are vital to a balanced gamee, if you cant play an urban maps its your fault for not knowing tactical placement and you need to practice!!!”

Tell that to my 27 pure ATGM Carriers that cant snapshot, They get destroyed every game of a urban map on average. This is also said for casemate TDs in lower Br’s although this is not noticed since the maps are literarily too small to flank.

“If you let people choose open maps vs urban maps. You risk people not playing urban maps.” Or whatever they say

Good! let people choose and let them be able if they want to play what they like! People play this game to have fun, or they are supposed to! If more people choose open maps its a sign the urban and smaller maps don’t work, let them DIE!

And let people block maps without premium, and just double the amount with premium, And remove the dislike system it is as effective as a rats ASS

LET PEOPLE PLAY WHAT THEY FIND FUN! You Should be able to only play a open map if you want to go with mainly ATGM vehicles. And if you want to play urban maps let them of course!

Again Let People Have Fun, its a game. not a job!

All said and done War Thunder is little more than this from 1980

You have the big and open map and the maze.
Possibly room for both in WT.
The big and open reflect reality better because it is the situation tanks are made for.
The urban scenario is more a case of troops/Infantry with maybe a tank or two for support, not the other way round.Hence the phrase Infantry tank

Tanks lose much of what they are about in urban situations which why they avoid them if possible.
Gun barrels hit lamp posts and fifty ton tanks can’t cross bridges or even drive thought a house with collapsing into a cellar. Not something we have to worry about in War Thunder.

I think Urban maps are made for that surprise element which you either like or hate.
I have to say that some city maps are so cluttered with s**t I can hardly see the enemy.Sweden?
I do accept both and play different vehicles in both.If you think about it ,it all comes down to spending.Need different tanks for different maps, buy more spaces, buy more crew skills, spend, spend ,spend.

One issue though is some players are just too dumb to work out a big open map because cover is not apparent to the untrained eye.
They can’t see the cover when a veteran can and they will call for the map to be banned.

Between wanting urban maps gone and big open maps gone ,what a have we got?
