the strv 74 aint the best tank out there. it has a good gun tho. but it lacks in alot of other fields.
one of them, are the smokes. this thing can fire 12 smokes. the only bloody problem there is, none of them cover the front of your tank. where is your enemy at? at literally your front. they all shoot off to the sides.
gaijin. make the gameplay change where atleast the first 2 smoke shells launch to the front. im begging of ya. if im shot at, and i can fire this smoke where it could save my lives, i dont want to smoke the sides of my tank so my own mates cant see me. i want the enemy to no longer see me. if none of the smoke charges cover the front, then whats even the bloody use of having them in the first place.
Get something proving they shoot to the front, then make a report on it and hope and pray they do smthn abt it. Otherwise, there is no chance they will do anything about it. Unless it was russian ofc
first problem is that smokes in this game dont follow wind patterns. if you fire a smoke off your left, but the wind goes to the east, it could still cover your front.
second problem is, we all know gaijijn is lazy as hell and just uses the “next bit of evidence” as their way of validating realism. if some unintelligent creature pulls documents out of his arse where german ss officers claim the tiger had the power of a 400mm battleship gun, and presented it to the council of lazy gaijin historians, they would accept it without any consideration for the implications.
third problem, such documents must first be pulled out of someone’s ass. if there is no ass to pull them from, we cant change that. but this is a game. not real life. vehicle parameters are changed on the freaking fly. turret traverse, an absolute mechanical feature, is turned into a freaking crew skill. so gaijin already does no longer care about mechanical realism. just fire the first 2 smoke nades to the front.
well how often do they make changes like this that arent for russian or russian related vehicles, e.g. the reload buffs. it almost never happens. so i doubt they would do it for a random swedish thing. plus if it isn’t top teir, it will take even longer for anything to happen. they only use sources pulled from someones arse if it benefits russia, every other time it needs proper, official documentation and 2-forever years to implement. they will never change how smokes work ingame, it is too much of a performance hit and will significantly reduce the effectiveness of them
