Challenger 3 (TD) should have a 5 second reload [Poll]

BN & 3TD share the same thermals.

Yeah… as of now, my favourite Challenger is Black Night, since it doesn’t even have bad mobility anymore, has Gen 3 thermals and Iron Fist is nice.

Challenger 3 (TD)… on top of the 6 second reload and lack of turret spall liners, Gaijin gave it Challenger 2’s OLD DAMAGE MODEL in Alpha Strike, even though it was corrected just before Alpha Strike, so now the turret is actually even worse than the Challenger 2s lmaoo.

And any penetration on the mantlet leads to ammo detonation because the ammo is behind the mantlet without blowout panels, as well.

Yeah… Im not actually that bothered by the improved mobility of Chally 2E/3TD. So the BN is my go to, though I havent actually done any matches in the 2E yet… So, I cant massively comment I suppose. But yeah, the choice between the BN and 3TD just isnt good enough yet. The disadvantages of the 3TD just outweight the minor buffs from the DM53.

To be fair, (correct me if Im wrong) I thought we don’t know if the CR3 TD has different mantlet geometry then the CR2. Hence the lack of a model update for the CR3.

While in game the current mantlet for the CR3 TD is the old garbage design, there aren’t any sources that can confirm if the CR3 has the CR2 mantlet or a newer design to support the new gun.

I am not talking about the mantlet, I am talking about the rest of the turret, such as the cheeks!

Gaijin had already corrected their geometry and damage models, but, after Alpha Strike, they gave it the copy-pasted old CR2 model even though they had already fixed it prior to Alpha Strike.

Notice how the armor plates, lines, welds, and general geometry doesn’t match the visual model:

What I can’t wrap my head around is… how did this happen? They had already fixed it, how did they break it again?

it was broke then they fixed it just to break it again

The E is the best challenger 2 in game imo. The black Knight is a close second.

I think its down to preference/play style. I prefer to be more defensive.

Lazy effort is why it happens

I guess my reading comprehension needs a rework then.

Its a British vehicle, Gaijin gave us a light tank finally therefor every other vehicle needs to be neglected.

3 part and it is easier as each part is a lot lighter

Unlike what Gaijin might assume.

I honestly wouldn’t mind the reload buff, since without it the 3p just feels like a wanna be leopard 2a7, same gun but a fraction of the protection and speed

Additionally if you refer to the (publicly available) Castlemartin report I’m pretty sure those charge bins basically have to suffer a direct hit from main calibre round, and even then they wouldn’t necessarily go off.

And the only way to show this to Gaijin is by giving lots of video evidence, cause it’s a British vehicle even if the 23rd century is upon us will only then acknowledge that they F’d up with the CR2 & CR3

video evidence, is conveniently, inadmissable.

there’s a good document as a result of the castlemartin report which iirc makes a point to the effect of “the charge bins would need a direct hit to cause a ammunition fire if ammunition is properly stowed”

But why is it still not fixed

Who knows. Gaijin does as Gaijin pleases.
