I knew that. Just pointed out that it sound different.

So was the cooling the problem of getting 1500hp or something else?

Yes

Yes, engine bay supposedly needed redesign to incorporate beefier cooling, which is seems they have either decided it was not actually that expensive, or have remedied somehow.

Or these fans are just replacing the old ones and its staying at 1200-1350.

Through cost cutting to the very bottom.

i much prefer the RAF Reg motto in cases such as this one:

“Per Ardua”

Probably could be adopted whenever anything concerns the MOD.

Why didn’t I see any gaps?

@DevilO6 It’s not external armor?

no, its an extension cover to protect the extended composite from view and damage. There is an extra plate that mounts on top, you can see the mounting bolts there.

Hard to say. I would say some kind of cover for now.

British Army posted a video of the CR3, it gives a slightly better view of the engine deck than the previous videos. Looks very similar to the CR2, of course most engine changes will be internal though. Known/claimed powerpack changes include:

  • New engine cooling fans
  • Improved fuel injection
  • Improved 3rd generation hydrogas suspension
  • other unnamed upgrades

I also read somewhere that the engine has new computer controls, but I cant say for sure thats just from memory.

edit: I didnt mean to reply to your post S8IG, sorry

some kind of a powerpack, might be old, might be new.

I’d hazard a guess at new. the old fans have the belt drive and mounts for that on this side from the camera’s perspective, however that could just not be mounted.

its there

Not confirmed.
