Happens to the best of us XD

Of course, its simply a marketing lie that western nations can even produce ERA

Western nations just stuff their era with carton and bricks

I get you’re joking around, but interestingly, RBSL actually make ERA called TERA

If that ERA actually stops Tandem HEAT in-game, I will be impressed

only Russian ERA is allowed to do that

However, we dont actually have any confirmation the Chally 3 uses either of those

Yeah… probably gunna be assumed its the same as the ERA on the 2F until such time sources can be found otherwise

Tandem heads dont work currently in the first place

Yeah, but as that affects the BMP, I assume will get fixed eventually

Gaijin: we got you, 5mm of KE protection and 500 chemical it is

I doubt it’s ERA. If it was ERA they would put it on lower front plate and I don’t think they need ERA on the turret cheeks. I think it’s just extra armour plating.

Technically it is on part of the LFP, its added on top of the composite LFP addon

I dont see why if they’re going to add armour plating to the turret face, they couldnt add ERA there

Wouldnt ERA actually make sense on the turret cheeks to protect the cheeks against high-pen ATGMs that might actually be able to pen the turret cheeks?

It is ERA

Also, the modular armour is meant to be replaced in the field by the tanks crew if hit?

FARNHAM = Internal composite arrays
EPSOM = external modular armour which sits on top of the internal composite arrays

So Farnham replaces Dorchester?

FARNHAM replaces the internal dorchester that the Challenger 2 had, yes

FARNHAM is the integral base armour of the tank, which cannot be removed (unless for major repairs), while EPSOM is the small panels that sit on top of the internal FARNHAM armour.

The Challenger 3 does not use chobham/dorchester armour anymore to our knowledge, that is in the past
