Tbf if Gaijin were to remove it they would have to actually state which version of the Ch3 TD we have ingame, which would fairly dramatically change its capabilities since iirc the version we have is a weird mix of all of the non up armoured versions seen across articles and trade conventions.
Its the CR2 LEP or something, the very earliest one back in 2019? iirc.
A proper CR3 would be needed as a seperate vehicle and with the decompression, that is possible imo
And? They removed it allready once, this time they brought it back by accident as they forgot to remove an block in the code while copying it from the BN…
Rename the CH3 TD to CH2 2 LEP (2019) leave it at 12.0, and add a CH3 (2021) with eurotrophy at 12.7?
And while we are at it add the Ch 2 130 with the Rheinmatell turret too because funny 130mm gun.
Maybe, though just adding the Challenger 3(P) would work just as well for most of that. Kinda what im expecting within the next 6 months
The Challenger 3TD ingame as actually called “Challenger 2 LEP” in the game files, they named it Challenger 3 just to build hype around it.
The correct name for the vehicle is “Challenger 2 Advanced Technology Demonstrator (ATD)”, which has been reported but they don’t seem to care.

The actually “Challenger 3TD” is the tech demonstrator with Trophy MV added, which is called “Challenger 3 Advanced Technology Demonstrator” in real life.
Challenger 3 ATD
The following vehicles after those two should all be classed as prototypes or pre-production vehicles. Theres quite a variety of Challenger 3 pre-production prototypes with a variety of changes to them, which don’t really have specific names. Gaijin could just call them “early” or “late” prototypes, or call later variants something like Challenger 3 Prototype “Epsom” if it has the modular armour, essentially just naming them after what they have added.

Only the case because the challenger 2 LEP programme was renamed the challenger 3 programme, they are the same vehicle, retrospectively they are both the Challenger 3 (A)TD.

They are the same base vehicle, but officially the Challenger 2 LEP/ATD was only renamed to Challenger 3 ATD after the mock trophy was fitted.
Therefore without the mock trophy it should be called just Challenger 2 ATD

read again, i said the leo 2a4 atd is a functioning tank compared to the chally 3 atd

on the actual pre production variants they are named from P1 to P8. P1-P2 have more square cheeks(pretty sure the one in the picture is P1 while it still didnt have the roof composite added) while P3-P4 cheeks are sharper n angled at the transition from front to sides.
P4 was the one seen using the new LFP module n possibly the new composite sideskirt addons
