You would argue the CR3 optics and fire control systems will be superior to current in service NATO tanks.
Being the newest, so the statement isn’t misleading.
i mean, you named it yourself multiple times 2a8.
2AX is supposed to join service 2030, thats pretty much in between the years you named.
But yeah 2a8 and KF51 hungarian /italian are supposed to come until 2027 as well
means at the same time the challenger 3 is not the most lethal tank, its overexageration.
One of natos most lethal tanks might have been correct, but not the way brits described it
Key word, supposed to, these are proposals rather than actual grounded projects like the Challenger 3.
The Leopard 2AX is in its “technical study phase”, and isnt expected to enter service untill the “2030s”, not 2030.
Also, the Hungarian and Italian KF51 uses the same gun as the Challenger 3 (120mm L55A1), not a 130mm. So they will still not exceed its lethality.
I mean, like I’ve said several times, its lethality is the best in NATO alongside the Leopard 2A8.
At the end of the day “most lethal” is marketing wording, but it is not unreasonable to say the Challenger 3 is the most lethal in NATO. Its firepower/optics/sensors technology is all the best currently available in NATO.
Then substantiate this claim with a capability no other current of imminent NATO tank features.
strictly speaken,
Germany already has access to the DM83 for the testing and qualifactions.
Which britain has not, so right now germany could say they are the most lethal.
Since currently they have the sole rights and stock to DM83.
That would be correct
DM83 is not in service with Germany currently, so it’s a bit unfair to say that.
but it is?
Its officialy in service in germany undergoing the necesary trails being shot etc
If it’s still in trials then its not in service
its in use by the german bundeswehr,
its not by the UK.
Meaning germany has the most lethal nato tank right now.
we are actively shooting it, UK is not
It isn’t in service with the Bundeswehr, it is in TRIALS with the Bundeswehr. There is a difference, no in service Leopard 2A7 is firing DM83 currently, only trial vehicles.
When DM83 enters service it should be given the Leopard and Challengers at around the same time.
I’ve already explained it, you need to disprove my claim
- Best NATO gun in service
- Best NATO ammunition in service (and near future)
- Optics comparable or better than any other NATO tank.
is the german bundeswehr actively shooting DM83 right now? yes
Does that mean germany has the most lethal ammunition on hand right now?`yes
Is it right to say germany has the most lethal nato tank right now on a technicality ? yes
not my fault Uk is only buying the ammunition and not part of its actual development.
That weird statement from the british that they have a hand on it and called it the EKE specialy was realy weird
You seem to be completely missing my point of “in service”, you’re just being pedantic
Even if I were to agree with your point, it would be invalid as soon as the Challenger 3 recieved DM83
oh i agree. I just wanna point out how wrong and ridiculous the british advertisment is at this point.
and will always be, it is saying it is number 1 alone which is wrong
I did the same with swedish statements that the strv122 is the most armored leopard
lethality is quite a subjective thing and I’m open to people arguing otherwise on statement from the Brits, but I think its not outlandish for them to say its the most lethal like some people seem to be claiming.
You could always argue that something like the Type 10 exceeds the Leopard 2A8 due to its autoloader, its just about how you define “lethality”
DM-83 would be so nice ammo that doesn’t cook off or burn. But it will never be added to game as it would defeat Relikt from 5km away
Im guessing CR3(P) will come with DM63. Much the same benefit, but the same pen as DM53. (what the CR3(TD) should already have as thats all its ever fired)
actualy… sadly not that easy
ammunitions are all coded the same, its not based on ammo type, its based on how its coded in the tank itself
Its technicaly not possible right now, gajin would need to integrade ammo specific rates
Or they could just code tanks with DM63+ appropriately.
