I’ve never understood it with British marketing in the military sector. Companies almost do what the Russians do and say that it can do more that what it can actually do, or it can be achieved but at such a high price it would make even Ferrari blush
its more like military itself had no money after the USSR collapsed, so there was no budget to upgrade
There was money but people (especially the poms) didn’t want to see it. The UK is a pit of money and managed but dolts that are only concerned about filling their and their country’s pockets
Was wondering: Is there a recent CR3 prototype that has the upgraded transmission, 1500hp engine, LWS and blowout panels that we can prove are on it and if so, can someone make a suggestion for it soon.

I have a suggestion for something (I can’t remember what anymore) and that has been waiting for approval for months

I was think of writing a report request on the bug report site but never got around to it and now I can’t remember what my suggestion is about or what it was but a memory does come to mind of a SA pack for Britain that AFAIK (or remember) would have included the SA Sherman IIa, Sherman Firefly with APDS, a SPAAG like the Ystervark and a M10 that SA operated in WW2

Stop debating whether or not the challenger 3 should or shouldn’t get such and such feature and just stick to the facts or new media and updates from RBSL or the ATDU. This thread is supposed to be a technical data megathread. Take a note from the challenger 2 technical data thread. If you have to discuss stuff then discuss the stuff we already have info on, for example we know that it is going to get an APS we just don’t know exactly which model so talking about that makes sense

Apparently that engine can actually run at 2000hp but its limited by the gearbox because of the vibrations it causes

There is a seperate thread specifically for the Challenger 3 pre-production, this thread is a generic Challenger 3 discussion thread which can include both the TD and Pre-production.
The 3TD is part of the evolution of the Challenger 3, it is completely fair to dicuss it and even discuss the Challenger 2 if it relates to the Challenger 3.
If you want a thread specifically for the pre-production Challenger 3, please use that thread
