Well, the experience i have is i get hit in the
plate and it overpressures my crew
Hits in the back of the turret also kills

The turret is even overperforming by the way.
The mantlet might be too weak but it is on most top tier MBTs that aren’t Russian or Chinese
I thought it was determined that the mantlet was hollow?
My understanding (someone feel free to correct me) is that the current consensus is:
Im not going to go around this again
No idea
Pretty much. But since any actual detail would come from “that document” we’re at a dead end on implementation or what it exactly is.
Good luck trying to ask Gaijin for any change. Turret ammo racks are wrong since day #1 in chally model and Gaijin never fixed it…
So what is the big difference between the TES and Megatron? I’ve heard about turret armour but I have no idea after that. I wouldn’t mind the 1500hp engine I’ve heard here and there
In essence I think the Megatron is a 2E version of the TES. So better engine, optics, etc and more modern version of the gear that makes up the TES
Ah. So the TES with a 1500hp engine? What about the optics? Are they not the same for all Cr2’s ATM (except for the BK)
I think it would be the same optics as the BK and 2E. and I think so on the 1500hp engine
First 3 are the same, and last 2 are the same I beleive
BK and 2E have different sights.
BK has Gen 3 Gunner and commander and gen 1 driver
2E has Gen 2 for all
Normal CR2’s have the same sights.
I assume you mean OES? That is just the most up to date war standard for CR2, which is 2G.
Interesting, didnt know that, though does further explain why everyone says BK is the better CR2 and does explain the foldering.
In that case, I have no idea if it had gen 2 or gen 3 optics. I’d guess Gen 3 as the 2E is the export model
So then where does the 2H fit into all of this?
1500BHP engines were only installed on 2E (MTU883+Europack Transmission) and a planned upgrade on Challenger 3 and HAAIP (possibly uprated CV-12s).
Megatron is just a Challenger 2, there’s nothing special about it beyond the name. Fighting-Vehicles.com seems very unreliable, the (1) reference leads to a dead page, says Megatron “commonly seen in the Challenger 2 Street Fighter configuration” despite Streetfighter being a completely different development program and stating it’s the only tank fitted with Dorchester 2F which even if that article is over a decade old would still be wrong.
2H is TES, and form what we can tell that standard is no longer used.
