Top is arcade, bottom is realistic
Aight, then it’s accurate to the video.
Some sources do cite/show 9 seconds for full rotation, others state 12.
Though I think the biggest issue is a “realistic” rotation time being locked behind crew rank.
That will be most likely power mode, so not in game
Normal one, in game and the most comfortable one to tell around
That is stupid, but i doubt anything will be done about it, as it would require crew overhaul.
I want them to scrap crew skills and start again, 90% have almost no impact and the last 10% have way too much of an impact.
Some say it is responsible for tanks rendering, and that is the cause for those weird invisible tanks, but if it is it is buggy as hell.
One of the most impactfull things
Usefull.
You max it only on gunner, dont you?
Bearly usefull.
The elephant in the room. While “multitasking” is fine, and rotation in crank powered tanks is fine but later it is just weird.
Usefull early, later it is straight useless.
Boost to other specialized crew skills. Impactfull.
Also top of the top. Impactfull. Unless you have an autloader.
Mostly useless.
Some say it is responsible for tanks rendering, and that is the cause for those weird invisible tanks, but if it is it is buggy as hell.
Useless on tanks unless you use manual repair.
unless top tier Russia or Japan
It’s air too, we still have turret stuff even when in jets with no turrets
Corrected
Yea, but it is mosly due to crew being “universal” All crews are supposed to take all kinds of things
There was a discussion about this in another thread a while ago about max traverse speed in game. It seems that devs use maximum stabilizer speed rather than maximum speed available to the gunner (Although from what I remember from that thread, that standard isnt applied evenly to everyone). Ive found sources that claim Ariete should be capable of a similar 38ish deg/s and that thread had some videos of Leopard 2’s completing a full traverse in somewhere around 9 seconds
Yea, i have seen it.
Or maybe it’s rounding.
Marconi Centaur FCS (which uses the same gun control equipment) was advertised at 675 mils (38°/s), and the Marconi GCE 628 used by Challenger 2 was advertised at 650 mils (36.5°/s).
So it gives us either 9.4s or 9.8 Rotation time. I can see the first one being the 9s Rotation, and the second one is closer to 10 s, that i assumed would happen in a ideal condition on the tankfest video. The thing is are there sources that are free to use so it can be considered, or are they just number with no source aviable to the public?
Ok i found this
It seems someone already took attention to Fwd: Jul/05/2020 [1.97.1.84] Challenger 2 / Vickers Mk.7 - Incorrect Gun Elevation Speed - Documented Ground Reports - War Thunder - Official Forum
But it was a side kick to the gun elevation then.
Speed of the Marconi Centaur FCS was mentioned in the Vickers Valiant (Not bomber) Weapons Control System brochure. and speed of the Marconi GCE 628 comes from Janes, but the problem is that Janes is no longer available as a source.
Why is that? Im just curious
There were too many errors, which is understandable given the limited information available in the 8-90s.
Well, now i know what to look for. But i doubt i will find anything about the Centaur that not found already.
It seems like chieftain 2000 also go the cantaur, imma go look deeper into it
So vfm and osorio,
I must admit, finding anything about Centaur, that is not Jane is hard.
Sadly i am unable to find Valiant brochure, and the only thing that talks about Centaur in numbers is Jane. So it is a dead end. 12s it is then. Or maybe there could be done some things considering Vickers mk 7 uses very simmilar FCS (from what i gathered the only thing that is different is FCS computer, all other things are the same) with simmilar turret weight (vfm 5 turret is much lighter so going with it will go nowhere)
