same game I was one assist off back to back nukes though so clearly despite needing to aim to kill Challengers are in a good spot /s
@Gunjob I made a report about trunnion pins missing, can you take a look at it?

I just had a bit of a play on the test drive to check for ammo replenishment, this is by no means accurate to the millisecond, but it gives a general idea.

I’m not quire sure how the famously ergonomic and spacious t-55 crew manages to beat out the chieftain by almost 10 seconds, but there you go.
Things aren’t any better with the challenger 1 line, and at least on top tier it’s the same as the t-80, but the critical difference is the ch2 only has 4 rounds in it’s ready rack. Again, I’m not sure how the famously spacious t-80 crew managed to get the round and it’s propellant into the carousel in the same time as the challenger crew managed to remove a round and charge from a bin.
It seems what gaijin have done is just make up a grossly inflated figure for the chieftains and then just never bothered to update it for any of the challenger line.
TLDR - Ready rack replenishment times make no sense and are just total fantasy.
The reason why it take so long is reasoning, that loader takes 2 pieces, so it needs to take double the time. It simply ignores the fact that those 2 pieces separately are lighter than a 1 full shell, and also ingores the fact that those giant racks at the back of the turrets of Cr 1 an 2 are also a first stage, but that is due to how first ammo racks are coded. In irl situation CR2 has 28 Darts ready rack(excluding those rounds that are stored at the floor of the crew compertment, but i do not know where and how much of them are there so i will not include them), and 4 propelants (unless aiming in a front arc, then bins at the back of the hull are also a 1st stage rack resaulting in a 38 charges ready rack).
The thing is, I believe the t-72 is a 2 part round as well, but isn’t pelanised to nearly the same degree.
Well, just gaijin things.
Reload time, replenishment time, and loading speed is all fictional and used for balancing iirc.
CR2 should have a 3 second fire rate, and an extremely brief ready rack speed but…hey ho.
The current reload is fine, but ready rack replenishment is a nono. I remember when there was a bug some time ago when all ready rack had the same reload time (like 5s or so). CR2 was in its peak.
Makes sense to be so short, the charges and projectiles are right there. But…if thats how Gaijin balances, we cant do much
Could maybe do a suggestion post to rework it for CR2 and have it added to the endless tomb of CR2 bugfixes lol
I cant wait when it gets opened, and everything gathered there gets to see the light.
We’ll likely have AbramsX by then haha
You meant WT 2077 tanks
I will just leave this here, cheers to the op.
Seeing these slower reloads and restock times used for ‘balance’ are just salt in the wound for the worst performing top tier MBT
If they cared they could easily reduce these
I would be careful, I saw a documentary once called raiders of the lost ark, where they opened a box and their faces melted. I imagine the ch2 box is very similar 🤣
The challengers also make completely 0 sense with the ready racks because CHIEFTAIN has the same ammunition placement, but has a +19 round ready rack in game. I cant remember the number but the layout js rhe EXACT same as chally mk2
Chieftain Mk.3 has 23/24rnd ready rank. Think the Mk10 has a slightly smaller one at 19rnds but still substantial
I made a bug report showing chally 2 loaders drawing from the rack at the back of the turret but its sitting unread after coming up on 3 weeks now
