Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 2)

fun fact, if you have a fresh crew for the CR2 the past ready rack reload is over 8 seconds.
I with an expert crew on my CR2s am sitting it i think it was 7.2 or 7.6 seconds after the ready rack.
which is absolutely ridiculous.

What ive said is true though there is nothing wrong with it.

As I said you’re the one splitting hairs over it mate.

“it’s the rifling”
“actually it’s the 2pc ammo”
“you’re splitting hairs.”

if you want you can trace back to the assassination of archduke ferdinand and technically be correct in saying the round performs poorly because Princip was hungry

20 round ready rack would make the Challenger 2 so much better and its also realistic

I think that the lack of regenerative steering and the breech armour are the two most important things.

1 considerably negates the lower power to weight ratio and the other allows it to actually do its job of being hull down without losing crew members. Also if the upper hull armour was slightly better it would be able to stop a lot of APFSDS rounds. I find it highly convenient that many Chobham armour values top out just around where rounds can go through, in some circumstances we are talking millimetres.

2S38 rounds go right through the front of the CR2 weak spots. The tanks cooked

2S38 also does that with Abrams tbf with its turret ring.

It’s a massive pain in the arse. Considering most other MBTs are 15-20 rounds in the rack.

And L27A1 just seems to… not want to spall as much as everyone else. Probably to do with the (probably) incorrect figures used on the round…

I would rather pay Gaijin £50 for an update that fixes 100% of the bugs in game instead of them adding in a new premium.

they are now at the point we have highly modern jets for every nation, bar maybe the su35 or whatever it is.

we now need bug fixes and older vehicles added i believe.

they’re probably going to add F22 and Su57 first it seems, but then, and finally then hopefully we can get balance
