lot depends on the angle of the incoming munition, and a couple more mechanics nuances and bugs. For example, it doesn’t trigger if the munition lands in certain areas of the engine
Multiple intercepts of the KH-38, up to the capture of the point.
I’ve been closely monitoring the performance of APS on BN since its release.
No new anomalies have appeared yet.
If we had more big maps in rotation, BN would be more than worthy of 12.0. However, its effectiveness varies greatly depending on the type of battlefield.
*With APS, all-round smoke screen, LWR, and 3rd gen thermals.
Not only that. Let’s say there’s another nuance: APS only intercepts things on the collision course with a unit (The exception in that mechanic is roof-piercing rockets). In other words, if the missile hits the ground with enough splash, it will result in death. Additionally, if the missile set a collision course with a unit at the very last moment, after the point where it should have been intercepted, APS will not be able to intercept it.
Firstly, the Challengers have NOT YET been buffed ingame, this is just a video on the bug report. Don’t get your hopes up too high just yet :)
Zenturion, a pretty well known WT youtuber has made a short video about the report to get the Challengers buffed.
He modified the Challenger to give it the buffed (correct) 1314 horsepower and tested the performance, as you’ll see, the difference is pretty huge compared to the current Challenger 2. It increased acceleration by up to 25%, bringing the Challenger 3TD up to almost Leopard 2 levels of acceleration.
If this actually makes it to the game, it would be a really big buff from his testing.
I’m happy to see he’s made this as it should hopefully bring a lot of attention to the issue, and hopefully gaijin pay attention :)
Gaijin also cant model traction. Wouldnt be surprised if they should be gripping a lot better than they currently. Feels like a slight hill drains all speed
