Yeah, GRP/FRP (fibreglass) is one of the main materials we use to make composite ballistic armour and spall liners for vehicles in the UK. There’s a material standard for fibreglass in composite armour; MIL-DTL-64154B a/k/a HJ1
Layers of other plasticising and rubber materials absorb energy, and are ultimately what makes a composite.
There’s nothing from that composition of materials that discounts them as being spall liners.

Forgive me if I don’t trust this guy’s expert analysis of these materials and their purpose because
a ceramic-fiberglass composite material covered with metal foil.
Is actually asbestos in a reflective liner. So I hope he didn’t sniff it while he was inspecting the materials

I’m not citing him (although he certainly has a technical description and published a diagram of the lining’s location), but rather other sources that also don’t claim a lining.

wish they fixed that damn ready rack though
A simple fix to the ready rack would make the Challengers much more enjoyable. Considering we have Abrams with the exact same reload speed with 16 rounds available is an absolute pain.
