Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 2)

no literaly german leopards do not use RCWS, no 2a5,6,7 . The PSO was a demonstrator.
But germany considered the RCWS technology not finished yet at the 2A7V time and decided against integrating it. German leopards are not able to use RCWSm no idea where u got that from

Thought they could use them. I’ve seen plenty of pics of Leos with them. I refer to the PSO as it uses the RCWS I’m talking about

literaly would love to see them.
Its only the 2a7+ and PSO you will see pictures of them, both coming out of the same project for an urban fight leopard version. No inservice leopard has them

TLDR canada has no RCWS

The last attempt in my long going project.

If that is not enough for Gaijin, they might as well just admit they “know better”.

Very nice! Now if we could combine the BK with the power pack from the 2E and the fire power from the CR3 we might actually have a tank only marginally crappier than a Leopard 2A5/A6

If the armour was modelled like the Russian armour then the CR2 would be very good but they are just ignoring everything that might be wrong for Britain

What do you mean? It is modelled as russian armour. Very poorly made and the ERA is filled with egg cartons.

Oh you mean in game Russian armour. I see.

Russian armour IRL is NOT like what it is in the design that is proposed before production begins, just look at the T34 or IS 3 or any other Russian tank that has a bad reputation for having shitty armour and considering any leaked classified document on the CR2 is sent to the KGB and then deleted but if it’s Russian then it is used and the numbers are made 10x better in protection than its supposed to have

That technically isnt true, we trialed the M1A2 I believe it was and could have that as an additional tank, not as an Australian or Canadian vehicle.

Likely end up with some “Indian” copy paste somewhere

10.7 is also strong af for britian.

Eh I still tend to do far , far better in my 2a5 and 2a6 than I do in all my CR2’s they are just more well rounded and better platforms in game.

If the 2a7 is better than the 2a6 massively I dont see why it and the STRV 122B+ shouldn’t move up.

Its not really out of pity at all.

They were supposed to rework and remodel the CR2’s as they were massively incorrect, and after the whole overhaul they actively made them worse

As well as this, Britain realistically should of gotten Canada as a sub tree over India, as Canada is far closer related to Britain military and alliance wise than India.

Much like how randomly the NL was added to fking France which makes literally zero sense there at all.

Personally im not a main of any tree, I find the way gaijin is just ham handedly dealing with every nation RN deplorable and think we need to stop blaming each other and take a loot at them.

they are actively ruining each tree with the nonsense they are up to.

it took what? 2 years for germany to get a good top tier at the same time as everyone else.
Mig29G was good, still seems it, however it came too late to be a top contented (as far as I have seen) and it was one plane out of how many updates?

they are better, i am not fighting that, still saying the 2a7v is hard to kill is factualy wrong.

br compression being a problem is a thing, but no matter what the challengers 2s would always fight the 2a7v cause they would get sucked into the br range

it is

but it didnt and anymore is just way to much, at that point why play anything when UK gets stuff from every other nation. Australia or Canada at this point are an unfair implementation into the UK

still a different from air and ground, grounds are line ups that are made up of way more then a single vehicle

Subtrees as a whole are fucked

South Africa as a subtree was a bad idea but the way that the Hungarian and BENELUX were added was just pure spite and laziness, they add very little new to the game, they make the Copy-Paste problem worse and they make the game worse overall.

South Africa should have come as its own tech tree, unique Hungarian vehicles should have been added to Italy in a way similar to how Israel was in the US and BENELUX should be split between the nations who designed the vehicles they use, e.g. Leopards to Germany.

hmm while I agree, I gotta say, as of recently ive just scraped my KD back from 0.5 to 0.9 so im near a 1.0 KD in GRB.

The Leopard 2a7v I think isn’t that “hard” to kill, but it presents a larger challange than the average wt player is capable of.

Leopards are actually quite easy to take out, just breach shot it and then go to work.

Summery : I don’t actually think the tank is hard to kill, but people struggle to kill it? If that makes sense.
More a player issue than a tank issue, it also sacrifices quite a chunk of the mobility the 2a5 and 6 offer 68 KPH > 61 KMPH is quite a drop.

Yeah I wasn’t gonna debate that at all, the better of the CR2’s will inevitably be in the 2a7 bracket while the worse of them will be just below it e.g if the 2a7 is 12.3 the CR2E or BN would be 12.0 and the CR2 11.7 so its always gonna be there.

How is it out of pity?

I explained why it kinda sucks.

Genuinely im part of the people wanting the removal of India and the replacement with Canada as it makes next to no sense.

Ofc agree man, im more iterating the point that gaijin seems to have no semblance of balance for any nation, not just like some think one nation.

Most of NL should of just went to germany for how connected the two nations are military wise

I agree, but… 10.7 tends to get fairly consistent uptiers to 11.7, especially after the CAS BR changes where 12.0 is usually uptiered too.

10.3 though, gets downtiers most often and you only really loose out on the L26 slingers which whilst good, make up only a small part of that overall BR

So that’s why I get so many uptiers from 8.7 to 9.3… makes sense

eh 9.3 is a strong area rn quite enjoy my 9.3 “lineup” for china, russia, britain and germany
