And yet none of them are anywhere close to getting in service 130mm anytime soon :/.
Germany, to be precise rheinmetal is developing a tank with 130mm. Potentially as a last upgrade path or if the MGCS falls apart (which is possible.
As for Italy and Hungary, maybe they will use 130. Maybe not. Just for reference the Leclerc was initially developed wu to the idea of upgrading it to a 140mm cannon if necessary, which obviously did not happen (and explains the ungodly large and quite unprotected mantlet and why they did not keep the 20mm coaxial, as it would have taken too much space to add a 140 later down the line).
Rheinmetal is obviously trying to get its 130mm in service as soon as possible while ASCALON is still in development from KNDS (which I remind you is half German as well), as to make sure as to have the 130mm as the NATO standard. Because ASCALON is mainly for the 140mm, which rheinmetal does not aim to do, they’d be in trouble if it became the standard, while ASCALON can still retrofit to the 130mm.
No buddy, KNDS germany is. Officialy partitioned and contracted by the german govermant. Its supposed to get MUSS 2.0 as well.
Its not a standalone rheinmetall project
MGCS is far in the future and this will replace 2a8s until then.
Really? Is it a nerf or something? I’m not sure as the last I play with a CR2 was 2.5 months ago and the last I played WT was almost 2 months ago, so I’m not sure if there have been changes
Just feels really bad. It likely hasn’t changed,
bouncing when it shouldn’t not spalling as much, yellowed a T-80s track with a direct hit.
Not going through and killing T series tank with the driver hatch shot…
I’m hoping after the next BR change that 11.7 will be a consistent downtier with anyone playing 12.0 also running CAS above 12.0 (especially 13.0 CAS) and so will be mostly dragged up.
That should leave things like the 2F, TES/OES and 3TD getting 10.7 matches quite often. Meaning none of the tanks the L27A1 seems to struggle to deal with and also no Pantsir to worry about it the Tonka Gr1.
When it comes to the T80U, or the T90M, or any of these russian tanks with the better ERAs, shoot under it or behind it. If you are struggling to one tap them, then take out the breach first and then roll over them.
The STRV’s and Leopard’s, are a bit of a headache cause the spall liner + better armour.
The 122 is more of a problem armour wise than the 2A7, both will likely one tap you
It also becomes psychological you cant trust the round and your ready rack is so small.
You dont take shots you would in another tank.
You take more time to make sure you hit a spot that will do damage
Yeah, im a bad shot and lack any experience with shot placement. But yeah, I never trust in a first shot kill and am pleasantly surprised when the target blows up
