Challenger 2 could benefit for getting their historical ready rack size, like a lot.
To me, except for the fact L27A1 is as terrible as OFL 120 F1, i see no reason in playing the Challenger 3 over the 2E or even the Black Night.
Yeah Cr3 is shit in the game.
Rounds that pen above 500mm are fine, 500mm+ and 600mm+ all aim for the same weak spots, but of course I’d want to take the higher pen shell any day
L27A1 is underperforming anyways

If that gets implemented, OFL 120 F1 will be the worst top tier round, and L27A1 will be slightly better, not on par with other APFSDS, but still an improvement i suppose.

This document actually puts l27a1 at higher performance than m829a1.
And anyone who comes at me for how the pen values are measured. It does not matter. We know m829a1s performance according to lanz and this document clearly shows l72a1s performance is better than silver bullet.
And with some inference. We can tell the document is referring to m829a1 and tested at a target with an obliquity of ~60 degrees.

Btw a little good news I think I’ve managed to scavenge from the trash heap that is the challenger 2. The era in the TES sides now actually stops tandem warheads. Instead of just ignoring the side era outright they actually are stopped by it. Doesn’t matter as the only tandem warhead with a weak enough head is the falarick on the swedes 105 but hey, some good knees at least. I wonder how long it’ll take gaijin to “fix” this.
Also is the bug with the armour bellow the era on the big list. Gaijin changed it from composite to 40mm+60mm rha with an air gap in the middle, it’s now back to being “composite” with a ke equivalent of 0.1 lol.

I don’t think i’ve been served trash, Gaijin never claimed this remodel would be a buff.
The Chally 2 seems to be better in my eyes, it needs to be MUCH better than this but it’s better than nothing.
However if we keep shitting on gaijin for putting in time to do a rework why would they even bother to try?
My bug report was one of the main ones that got the Challies mobility buffed and I didn’t get it done by shitting on the devs.

But I do agree we need to just send bug reports about everything and anything challenger related rn otherwise nothing will get done. I still think they said it’s intentional so they don’t have to work on it any time soon as it’s not a bug.
