Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 1)

The loader controls the turret so if you’re down to 3 then it should be manned.

Thought as much.

Bug report it is.

Not biased what so ever, but the CR2 is definitely the best looking MBT.

do you have a picture?

where is the 400(0.94) come from?

What for?

The steel is cast so it’s 0.94 modifier. As for the 400 value there isn’t a direct measurement but:

Those pins in the centre of the circle are about 100mm in diameter.

Actually, modern CHA in-game has a multiplier of 0.98 not 0.94 that’s just for WW2 and early Cold War vehicles similarly Modern RHA in-game has a multiplier of 1.01 instead of 1.

What about the hollow part?

this part is In front of 200mm mantlet¿

The 200mm part is just something they picked. But that’s what it is representing.

70mm at 53 degrees with a 10mm flat plate behind for the bottom 1/3 ish. There is then a 30mm plate behind this which mounts the triangle to the rotor. Behind the rotor is a 50mm plate.

like this?

plus the pin that fills the holes into the turret, so the ones on the left and right of the image

yes, but with pins where the graps are.

do you know if the length of the module could reach 300mm? like the solid parts at the top and bottom

i estimate it’s around 400mm, but i dont yet have definitive “proof” of that

but if it is at least 300mm plus the 200mm on the back it would indicate 500mm at least discouting the pin placement.

but even on the pin placement it wouldnt lose much and even gain spaced armour that could break a longrod
