Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 1)

Missed this, congratulations.

British Engineers really are ingenious. I promise. For all the wrong reasons of course.

@Gunjob would gajin, accept such a table? It’s also in the Haynes manual for Chally 1. I mean since gajin thinks the ERA of the TES has the same protection it should be increased as well

Snail modells up to tes using values they gave to VARMA, the blocks on the side of Cr1 mk 3

So varma has the same performance as Romor in game? That’s fun

Ahh okay I remembered wrongly

Also im not sure what series the varma is, as that also changes the protection it should provide

What armor starts do the NERA protection blocks for the lower front plate have? Is it similar to Varma or is it its own thing? (In game of course irl they are different)

You mean this?

Yes

Starts with 2F late, it is Dorchester, so a better Chobham (the thing inside Cr1 cheeks and hull)

Okay so it is its own thing, I suspected the snail was lazy and would’ve just copy pasted the varma values onto it too

Well, VARMA Series 1 protects from RPG-7 and 30mm apds so…

Ah yes “protection from 30mm APDS” nice one gajin

I think it’s better to at this point ask what values for the different armour packages are not wrong? XD
