IIRC hesh used smaller charges different to the charges needed for apfsds
Yes i know that, that is why i wrote half charges (from the game pov) hesh bags (well, hesh charges)
Also HESH charges are mostly stored in the bin in front of the loader and the right bin, the left and middle one are for apfsds charges
Good spot, I didn’t notice that the ingame model had HESH charges modelled.
The trouble is that here we run into the problem if the game not being able to differentiate between ammunition types. AFAIK the ready rack number is fixed and will not change based upon what ammo you have loaded.
IRL the charge cylinders will all accept FIN or HESH charges, and it’s down to the unit or even the individual loader to decide what their normal stowage practice is.
The 20 rounds is based on a full load of APFSDS.
Well, we do not care about it in game, so we can do 27 without worrying about anything.

I wonder if devs ever look at it, how much they will give it. I hope 26+1 loaded, going with the number of darts, just like in chiefs.
I’d be happy if they brought it up to around 25 too, but I think a fixed 20 would be such a large improvement that it’s not worth arguing for.
If they can implement a dynamic system based upon the two charge types then that would be fantastic.

I do fear, however, Gaijin will deem that 20 ready rounds with a 5 sec reload for aced crew, as ‘unbalanced’ and do something to make it ‘balanced’ like increase the aced reload rate.
Abrams would still be better in every way, I can’t see it happening because its so blatantly obvious. I suppose they could point to efficiency.

You guys do realise if you do this they will nerf the reload rate to 7.5 seconds (the same as the Chieftains).

No they will not. After all the Abrams can now do the same, and the last time i checked Abrams was superior to Cr2. Superior gun, superior mobility, comparable turret armor, superior hull armor.
Then they will have to go down in BR. The Abrams now already does everything better in-game, if they nerf it much more its going to mandate a decrease in BR.
