all the accumulated Chally 2 hopes are sinking like a Titanic now

It honestly feels like we’ve been trolled by them. To make it look so promising on the dev server, only to completely revert it to even worse than it was before… some coincidence.

I love how the burden of proof is on us as always to prove something is wrong with it.

I think the most insulting part of all this is that they demonstrated that they could improve it to being somewhat level with the other tanks it faces or at least give it something it does uniquely.

And then they turned around, slapped everyone in the face and told everybody to get bent.

Truly I look forward to when we repeat this in the next five years time or so, because the challengers are never going to get buffed.

Gaijin: We realized that the remodel was too powerful, so we decided to revert it back to the previous version.

How can we be certain the ERA isn’t made from recycled tea bags? Not Tetley either, we’re talking used Sainsbury’s own-brand tea bags.

Seriously though, it’s like the MANPADS thread. If they believe something should be a certain way, no amount of proof will convince them otherwise.

just wait fellas, as an ultimate finisher soon we will enjoy a Devblog with the title like “Why we think that Challenger 2 is the worst MBT in every aspect you could imagine”

Gaijin Moment

We wont
We have another information
We dont think so
We decided not to

now pray for more Commonwealth vehicles

I need to report an issue regarding the issue of gaijin employees being too “smart”

That’s basically what happened prior to the dev blog though.

I can’t understand how they can just dump the vehicle in this state, and then say they are leaving it like that, without any kind of statement, nevermind justification.

well, the mantlet in dev server is 480KE

I’ve been tanking BM60 to the mantlet on live roughly 75% of the time so…

And it shouldve been carried over like that to the live server instead of being 60-400mm

ok and your point is

copuime it will be like CR1 mk2/3’s NERA. They take it away, then re-add it in next update

My point is don’t trust protection analysis entirely. I’m not saying the challenger is currently modelled correctly, but it is significantly, demonstrably stronger. Been taking BM60 to the mantlet and only losing my gun (or not being damaged at all), while the hull when correctly cresting a hill provides some excellent protection.

On the other end of the problem:
Turret cheeks seem to only have 50% of the internal plates interacting, and the sides, along with the hull front, have none of the internal plates interacting. Sides are still weak as all hell, and provide no relevant protection vs KE or CE.

Spall liners seem… unreliable and poorly placed? Just about every existing source says they should be just about everywhere, but gaijin has instead added a gap between the turret front and side liner panels, which I have now had shells go through without damaging the liner (and as a consequence one-shotting me) twice.

Also, Black night commanders scope nerf (completely unfounded. love that.)

Also, engine fires still immediately cause crew injury, even though there is a plate that is clearly between the engine and crew, that should prevent it (as it does in most other tanks)

TES ERA, also, despite being slightly buffed (it can now stop tandems and provides an extra 100mm CE), is still horrifically underperforming as per pretty much every source (and common sense. If it’s made to counter RPG-29s it’ll probably stop RPG-29s…)

I test it with my friend, he use the DM33(481)

Interestingly, DM33 cannot penetrate Mantlet, but 3BM42 can
