Anybody suggested the Australian light tanks? ASLAV, Boxer CRV and Redback :D
Maybe I will suggest them, but I dont actually know much about them, and I will probably be bad at the whole writing part of the suggestion.

I could see that actually working, in a very janky way. Make it like the Russian radar guided missile system, have to keep the lock and make them missiles loft. That would simulate a laser designator, or close enough.
That or we just get the infamous brimstone technical.
I want the brimstone technical.
The crew have to wear pink onesies though.

By the way, this is also a modification of the centurion.
I believe that the developers already have all the data about British light tanks. All you have to do is ask them to be added as soon as possible.
