Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 1)

there is the answer then lol

there this if you wanna read, not very useful though lol

I mean in game I always found it strange the driver always tried to get to gear 4 no matter than angle. Meaning I was stuck at 1300rpm at gear 4…. Seems inefficient to me. Might try out manual gear changes and see how it goes.

Yeah. The soft kill should be modelled but the Brit tax has really hampered us yet again.

what>?

The BN APS did not had the Soft-Kill jammers installed on in during the presentation
It does not have that small black tube

however it was passed to the devs and it might get it some day as a thing it could get or a thing that was supposed to be installed, i forgot

in the game its sayd the engine gives 1200hp at 2300 rpms. if the rpms go down it wont be using all the hp provided.

like you do understand why gears exist right? meaning in general. do you drive a car?

I mean hp isnt the main factor for climbing hills but torque. Only problem is gaijin doesn’t model it, so does that mean we should have hp modelled to what it does irl or have it changed depending on the torque specks of the engine to increase its ability to accelerate and climb?

thats where im getting at, if the rpms dont increase the tank wont have the 1200hp available.

in game at least

what? have you heard of torque too?

Are these not the soft kill emitters, I honestly have no clue what they are.
We need a proper black skin instead of this battle damaged one, which I have as clean as wt allows you :(

IR cameras detecting threats. Ah, and the feed from this cameras can be used by the crew to look around but I dont think BN had iron vision, so im not sure about its integration

annoying how this says it has optional soft kill and the diagram doesnt show it

The video i posted before shows it

yes and in real life you need a certain ammout of rpms to maintain high torque. it gets to a point where very high rpms actually decrease torque but if rpms lower more than they have to so does torque.

but since we dont have torque in game rpms need to stay, AT LEAST, higher than 1400

what in gods name are you talking about?

He is right about losing torque at high speeds?

dude… get some coffee

yes, but i think he is getting confused about the dynamics of an auto gearbox

what does it being auto or manual have to do with anything except the input?
