Last update Iron Fist started intercepting APFSDS, so while it is only one chally, it is still a great change and it saved me a few times.
I think it’s done that for a while, possibly circa sky guardians?
It depends on the velocity of the APFSDS though, so faster rounds’ll still hit iirc
I have not felt it any way in star guardians, but since la royale launchers started reacting at APFSDS and catching them. It can intercept any from over 1km away, but for top ones it will not defeat them, just weaken
The turret side bricks should be NERA on TES and 2F like it is currently. Megatron had ERA placed on top of the turret side bricks.
The massive blocks on the TES are ERA but how it’s implemented is incorrect. It’s not one massive block. It’s multiple blocks housed with in that metal casing. The actual layout should look similar to that on the abrams sep package. It’s also not just a ERA from what I gather from looking up stuff over the years. It’s ERA and NERA within each block. It’s funny they can model the individual ERA in the bags on the side of the T series tanks which don’t seem to ever fall off when hit either. But they can’t do they same for the TES.
The only explanation to that is they decided not to do so due to resources. UK is expected to bring less revenue, so less i spent

its actually not a 50mm RHa plate, although it’s definitely not a cavity because it uses the higher tensile strength bolts: This is the composition:
5mm Structural Steel + 25mm HHRa, + 20mm Kevlar.
The 25mm HHRa plate is the same one featured on older variants.
The composite block on the side is made up of:

Which appears to be: 40mm RHa + 20mm Air + 40mm RHa + 100mm Air
Lets compare them to those in game, give me some time
2E

Seems like everything is fine, i dont know Drcheste levels, so 30k 400c
2F e
Missing 20 RHA, NERA protection the same as 2E
2F l

Plate on UFP is 25 Structural, no backplate, jamming station does not work, netting does not work, driver has no thermals, NERA protection the same as 2E
2G not in game
TES

ERA is not added on top of NERA, it is pure ERA, jamming station does not work, netting does not work, driver has no thermals, plate on UFP is 25mm Structural, ERA protection the same as 2E
Megatron not in game
It seems to be only the lower part the upper part is definitely a 200mm thick composite armour block, which at minimum is rated to protect the side of the vehicles hull against rpgs , atgm and 30mm apdsfs rounds !!
yep, for protection for the blocks im not sure, but yeah i was reffering to that lower block
hmm?
what lol?
I decided to compare that to what we have in game
which is correct
my point is where is this missing 20mm?
That
So from what you are saying, the other guy is wrong and the 20mm plate beching NERA is not there, right? Im not trying to be inpoite or anything, i compared what we have ingame to the post
mmm, i dont remember there being a 20mm plate there, i’ll double check
