it will have no blowout pannels, no spall liner, no lws. that mantlet looks even weaker that he cr2. i dont rly want another cr3 td…

It was advertised for the UK and approved from the UK . You are taking a quote about Rheinmetalls focus in 2022 and extrapolating that the Challenger 2 130mm was mainly for Germany when it really wasn’t

Its a rheinmetall project instead of rbsl as well.
Just explain to me why it is rheinmetall and not rbsl if it is made for the UK only
its the same turret. just because they had an addon to make it pretty doesnt rly mean it was designed for combat.
it can in fact be part of the proposal for the addons on challenger 3 that may have been scrapped because they were given to another company
Your quote does not say that you are taking a quote relating to MGCS in 2022 and relating that to a 2020 project
The UK mod allowed it and were interested in it. The turret was designed for it in mind

The name challenger 130/ chally 130 is made by us for ease of use. Its not the official designation.
Official one would be more like rheinmetall defence 130mm testbed demonstrator.
But that’s a mouthfull. Thats why everybody out of laziness just went with chally 130
always what ifs and no what is, it is a challenger tank by both its outside and inside, developed to integrate the 130mm into a british challenger tank
