Challenger 130mm Testbed does not belong to Germany

The MGCS not the Challenger 130mm

This is the last time i will say it today

You are taking a separate statement talking about a Rheinmetalls focus on MGCS which is not the Challenger 130mm

it does not say they mainly did it for Germany or the MGCS programme it only says that the programme is there focus in 2021

The statements i am using is from the official interview with the project lead

was the original interview in english or is it a translation from german? Kinda wanna know if sth may have been lost inbetween the lines

The turret is a Challenger 2 LEP turret modified to fit the 130mm gun, the Challenger 3 turrets hadn’t been produced at that time

Eng as far as i am aware

Idk what to do with this tank if it has to go to one nation alone because either choice will be controversial. The language chosen in all the articles is just soo incredibly vague.

Just delete France or sth

It just got accepted. It does not mean ever see it as also stated By Smin. There is a chance it might just never be added

The Youtube video alone has 1 million views. The tank is too well known for Gaijin to not add it to the game.

Maybe they would just add it to both nations in TT to avoid controversy if they ever add it

To the US and USSR?

Germany and Britain.

How is the ussr and us even related to chally 130

Just to annoy both))

You have to love the excuses the “Big 3” mains make.

  • Australian players: “The M1A1 AIM should be in the British tree with all the other Australian vehicles.”
  • American players: “No, it’s rightfully in the US tree because it’s an export vehicle and last I checked Australia isn’t a tree/sub-tree.”

  • Canadian players: “The C2A1 and Leopard 2A4M should be in the British tree with all the other Canadian vehicles.”
  • German players: “No, they’re rightfully in the German tree because they’re export vehicles and last I checked Canada isn’t a tree/sub-tree.”

  • British players: “The Challenger 130mm should be in the British tree with all the other Challengers, it’s built for export to the UK.”
  • German players: “No, it’s Rheinmetall so it’s ours.”

Always kicking the goal posts I guess. What a joke.

Not exactly it’s built by the rheinmetall for German testing if the 130mm but it should go to both 🤷‍♀️ it is a German challanger

BAE stands for British Aerospace

The Challenger 130 & 140mm tech demonstrator should be for the UK. It will still be bottom of the barrel for that tier of new machinery most likely.

KF51 130 & 140mm for Germany

EMBD ADT 140 from KMW & Nexter could go to Germany and France

T‑14 Armata for Russia

SEPv3 is late and should already be here, Leopard 2A8 too. Then the US will have to wait for the Abrams upgrade replacement to drop in line with these other brand new developments.

I’ve got no idea what to do for other countries, they’ll have to find asymmetric equivalents I guess or rely on airpower.

Giving the top ammo for the intermediary tanks like the 2A8 and SEPv3 could help them straddle the gap to the latest future generation tanks. Gaijin still refuse to give Western ammo it’s claims of 800mm at 2km instead of in game 10meters.

Why does Gaijin put export models in the nation that doesn’t use the export model? it’s really nonsensical. Just do what makes sense. (Sorry you can’t use your own tank because it’s built elsewhere)
Put the machine with the nation that uses it or it’s manufacturers intended to use it in edge cases.
How many Challenger chassis does Germany own? none I’m fairly sure. Not even the one on the 130mm test bed.
Rheinmetall bought into BAE systems for a bite at the UK pie of tank fabrication. That still makes it a joint venture.

The British still own the chassis and Rheinmetall bought shares in BAE to make this partnership happen.

It’s almost getting to the point of new Tech Trees.

America
China
EU
Russia

??? very hard to balance. Modern cooperation is very complicated. Silly of me to try and compress tech trees and nations.

But the UK owns the chassis and Rheinmetall bought into BAE (British Aerospace Europe) to produce it.

It was around before and separate to KMW & Nexter project. What’s not to understand?
