Nope, It defo happens on the DS. Might’ve happened on the Mk.3 but I haven’t had it hapoen.

It’s just infuriating that no one from Gaijin have at least given an update. Something to say “yeah we’re looking into it, we’ve been struggling to reproduce, or we’re struggling to locate the root cause”

Just something to say they’re not being idle and lazy.

Mk3 and DS detonate. Mk2 was fine, but would need to check that

only the chally ones

Cr 1 mk2. I know it was not affected then but it might be now
That is what i want to check

With the mk 2, I’ve only had trouble with the back ammo detonating. Not the cheap ammo that was a guaranteed explosion.

Challenger 1/2 separate apfsds ammo when accidentally elbowed by the loader https://youtu.be/LIPprUxFap8?si=7Qx-jE_Eny2ncOOy

There a full source for this?

Also lmao, 70mm KE:

Gaijin’s finest work as usual

Remember, thats including the hullsides lmao.

(also completely unrelatedly, if you want a black arrow decal look in the USA tanks decal section, it’s a bit thicker than the what was used, but it’s near enough for WT, also has some nice number decals too)

Thanks for the tip, and who knew a 150mm composite side panel which is chobum only provides 30mm of ke protection.

Varma 2 is 150mm thick?

Is I’m on the challenger 2, just assumed they would repurpose the armour. I think it is 150mm although I would have to check to make sure.

VARMA is 200mm, both on Cr1 and Cr2

Oh, well then it’s worse than I thought. U sure there isn’t one which is 150? Like the base challengers Varma. And are you sure it’s Varma? I thought it was chobum or is this one of those moments they used the word chobum for any external composite.

Ok so let me make a quick sum up. Cr1 Mk3 and Cr2s mount VARMA. Mk3 and DL2E have the same 200mm VARMA block. DL2F upgraded the hull blocks (no info on this and other upgrades) and introduced turret side VARMA, they are also 200mm. 2G/2H upgraded turret side blocks and lastly 2I upgraded turret side blocks. All upgrades increased protection. How much we have no idea.
And when it comes to inside of the VARMAM, Chobham is a part of it.

Side protection of the hull:

The passive Chobham armour module on the side of the hull increased by 2.15 tons, increasing the protection index to ±90°-60KE/300CE, ±45°-650CE
