Mebe as an event or BP vehicle since prototype test mules are an established thing for them.
Would like to know more of the thickness and material of the plates. But otherwise a reluctant yes, until then.
+1 if its an squadron, event , GE or BP vehicle
Definitely not TT material
+1 can’t complain about another centurion
Looks like 20-30mm but I doubt Gaijin gives us that much. Would prefer Cent Mk.2 in the TT than a slightly heavier tank with armour that doesn’t do much anyway
you and me both
eh, why not. would be interesting to see at least.
Would prefer even the A43 (I think the number is 43) Universal Tank with Conqueror level of hull armour than this literal nothingness the Mk.1 Heavy gives

A45, redesignated to FV201 in 1946. Significantly worse hull armour than the Conqueror, there are a couple of versions we could get. P1 with what looks to be a 17pdr which would sit around 6.7, or P3 with a 20pdr which would sit around 7.7 depending on ammunition selection.
than this literal nothingness the Mk.1 Heavy gives
It would give a second spawn of Britains mainline tank at 6.0. While the Germans run around with Tigers and Panthers A, B, C, D, E … X, Y, Z, and the soviets get T-34-85s swarming out of every orifice, Britain gets a single variant of the backbone tank of the 6.0 lineup.
You’ll get 4mm of structural steel and you will like it. :D
+1 for more cents
+1 extra armour does not mean better tank though
A part of the tree that could benefit from some new additions as well.
I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer but these seems utterly pointless to add to the game. Happy for someone to change my mind but just why?
The front hull is a weakspot for the Centurion. This could increase its survivability.
Those are only little plates on the front, not like the M4A3E2 where you have a-whole-nother sherman UFP to your UFP
Those plates look to stack up to about 100mm. So not an insignificant amount where they do cover.
Total 100mm yes but only one parts that take up like 5% of the plate each so the amount added is little and the covered area is little. Making the whole tank pointless if it wasn’t just also an additional line-up filler
5%? They cover more like over 50%. And don’t forget about volumetric in the game that can degrade the penetration even if the projectile don’t fully impact the plates.
Sorry. Typo but you get my point. I doubt Gaijin will model the gap between the plates just to lessen protection on purpose just to spite us. They already seem to be doing that with AJAX on the Dev Server
The problem i see with this is, it’s essentially the same vehicle, 20 to 30mm of additional armor to the UFP but the turret still the same, and the turret is most vulnerable area on the Cent Mk I, no one shoots the hull.
