It Is not a “trade”, they were used by Italy and they fit in the rule to’ be implemented into the Italian TT. While this Centauro was never put into service
It isn’t a real trade, it is just balancing. And also the T-90 for UK (not India) and for USA.
Other nations can have tanks which USSR is most described by: T-72s, T-80U (best production soviet MBT), exported T-90S (the face of Russia), Mi28A, another force you can use to describe USSR/Russian heli airforce by.
But when it comes to a singular suggestion to add Centauro, its a big no.
Russia tested 105, 125mm Centauros, might have tested even 120, and of all 125mm/120mm one would be a good addition, if needed documentation is found.
Russia even tested Freccia.
Russia was testing these to buy if everything went well (italian engines are bad tho so that didnt happen), just as Sweden was testing T-80U in competition, and guess which is squad vehicle now.
You can clearly see bias in people’s way of thinking.
Theres not a single light tank USSR/Russia has with tank’s armarment you can put as high as even 11.3 BR.
Only thing you can really place there is either Centauro 125 or BMPTs.
We have many soviet tanks going into other TT, german tanks found in italian TT, Israeli tanks in USA TT, american tanks in several TTs, but suddenly one addition of Centauro into other TT would be too much, would take something unique from Italy (obviously italian helis, Ariete, IFVs and other Centauros stop existing right away)
Not suggesting this to be squadron, another Squadron would be horrible for everyone, suggesting this to be premium when rank 8 is introduced/ TT
Would listen closely to any suggestion on implementing any othwr vehicle instead of Centauro, some from post-USSR country or post-Warsaw pact country.
The double standard is quite real when it involves the USSR.
Comparing the USSR to Sweden is completely wrong, Sweden has very few vehicles that it could possibly get, therefore it needs to get tested/ captured vehicles in order to remain any semblance of competitiveness.
Meanwhile russia on the other hand has hundreds of vehicles available at the top ranks alone, it does not need vehciles copies over from other nations when it quite easily has domestic altlernitives, maybe if gaijin didnt make high teir russia a P2W qet dream there would be some vehicles left to use for SQV
I would also like to add most people didnt want a T-80U for sweden, most people didnt want a T-90S for UK. The T-72s were in service with the countries they are in, therefore they deserve to be there and the Leo 2s also are spread across several trees, the apaches are the top teir helicopter for half of the nations in WT, its not just russia that has to share thier toys
Tell me which light tank with tank’s armarment Russia or any USSR related country has, which could be put at 11.3-11.7 BR range then
USSR lacks in post cold war light tanks design just as much as Sweden lacks in other areas.
That only backs up my claim, giving Centauro to USSR wouldnt be some unique practise.
Whilst im not an expert on the matter the BMPT immediately comes to mind, another one is a Franco-russian AFV that was being developed and was basically a wheeled 2S38 but was abandoned after ukraine and left with russia
The in difference is that italy is a minor nation and the centauro is one of its limited unique vehicles, meanwhile russia has tons of objects that it can get at similar BRs, plus doesnt russia alread have a top tier light tank 2S25M or something?
Hows a wheeled version of 2S38 is gonna be 11.3-11.7
Not a top tier.
Again, what 11.3-11.7 light tank with tank’s armarment could be there.
Russia has no limited unique vehicles, except of few BMPS and Spruts, T-64, thats all, Kamovs helis.
Italy still has italian helis, Ariete, KF-41, Freccias, Centauros.
How about this?
Thats litteraly from a 5 second google search
The 2S38 ia increadibly uptierable, plus its a great AA for helis and close range aircraft, plus the wheeled chassis would give it far more speed and agility than the 2S38
Lets not also forget russia has the Best 11.7 SPAA by far alongside arguably the best helis and tanks
Thanks to gaijins great modeling of arietes armour the Centauro 120 is italys most effective ground vehicle at top tier and is one of the only reasons to grind italy currently for the wheeled vehicles
Look into its specifications, look into the game, see its at 10.0, lol
Has worse speed than wheeled ones, slightly smaller, around same pen and sights with thermals, even less armour, survivability than other 10.0 light tanks have.
Does that excuse not having light tanks now?
USA has good air power, should it lack in MBTs now?
Russia doent lack in CAS either, the SU25T is an increadibly good CAS, plus the Pantsir completely wipes the floor with CAS and can pen most MBTs from the side
Again, does that excuse vehicles not being added to gaps in TT?
there is no gaps the centauro would fill, you guys can get the bmpt terminator and the kurganets 25, they do the exact same job as the centauro
These dont have armarment of an MBTs, unlike Centauro. Centauro would fill gap at 11.3-11.7 in light tank tree line.
thats what the atgms are for, they still fill the exact same gap, you dont necesarily need a big cannon when atgms can fullfill the same job
ATGM =/= APDSFS on a Wheeled chasee.
If it was == there would practically be less 11.3-11.7 light tanks in the game.
still same job, they are used to destroy more heavily armored targets, the reason why most countries dont have light tanks with cannons anymore is because atgms are easier to transport / and fit as an armament. They fill the needed gap of a top tier light tank. The centauro is not needed for that job
So explain presence of it in light tanks TT, explain presence of CVL-90120, HSTV-L, if IFVs with ATGMs do “same” job equally by your understanding.
people that can read clearly have an advantage
there is always gonna be exceptions , besides that the hsvtl is a 75mm cannon, that caliber isnt even considered a main caliber anymore
Go complain to russia that they dont develop a light tank with a main cannon, just like people are saying it is the uks fault for not developing more planes
