CAS problem

I wouldn’t get my hopes up seeing how big of a problem CAS is in other parts of the game for years now. I’d say the best we can expect is to be able to destroy multiple missiles at the same time while also being able to kill some extremely bad pilots along the way.

That doesn’t’ make sense, having the same guidance type does not equal having equal lethality. That’s like if US gets a IR guided hypersonic agm but when someone asks for it to get removed because it’s to OP and there’s no counter, I say that all IR agms should get removed as well. You see how flawed that argument is?

The better argument I can understand is that Russia has no other IR agm in game as a replacement, only TV (keep in mind that china has non either).

Mavericks are the most balanced top tier agms as they cannon be used at far ranges, and forces players to do pop-up attacks which make them vulnerable to all sorts of threats. It only becomes an issue when there are no spaa present but that’s just a given.

i think i saw a post on reddit yesterday of someone apparently playing vs one of the stationary aas. but it was just pictures and a short explanation but it looked promising. Couldn’t check if its real tho so treat with extreme care

he says he was 18 km from it at high alt when they started firing at him and he turned and ran away for 8 km, so 26 km away and he was still intercepted. Take that pesky F15! And that was just an s-75 by the looks of it! that can single fire one or 32 missiles at once. Imagine 32 of those coming for your su34s or ruffafaloes ass. not a nice view

It still enables you to spawn, find targets, fire off missiles and go back to rearm or do something else. The whole concept of FnF in WT is flawed in the current state of the game.

this is for a limited time, mechanic testing AIR event.

This is a multi-vehicle, stationary SAM setup that takes up as much space as the entire spawn. this is NOT going in ground RB.

Even if it did, it would be useless. Sure it has like 60km of range, but its also a giant missile with a whole 2Gs of pull. You can literally dodge it by just rolling hard enough while flying right at it, from my testing in a custom battle with a F-4E and F-105 (planes it faced irl), let alone top tier UFOs like the Rafale or the Su-30.

Altitude is giving you an advantage if you like headbutting ARHs, on that we can agree.

Which is all you need when merge is inevitable.
Merge → press key to turn → press key to shoot → engagement done in 2 seconds.
It’s not hard to kill a one trick pony like SU-34 if you have working peripherals. Having your monitor turned on is also an advantage.

well unlike most of single braincell pilot in KH-38 slinger I know how to use it, and I appreciate it

I need every advantage much as i can, if possible, against any target and remain in that position long as possible (which surprise surprise i rarely have)

let that happen is mistake at the begin with so fault is still on player not plane if one let that happen well then just die that consequences of the action simple
and that’s it having luxury they should use it as possible if they don’t there are consequences.

now it against SU-30/34 yet I still manage and even worse case of skill issue for SU-30 because they are now as fighter has a*s covering by Pantsir denying all advantage of enemy CAP and yet still can’t manage to get rid of the CAP even that CAP is a Rafale.

You have to merge at some point unless you want to run for the remainder of the game.

no you dont, most air to air kills in GRB dont involve a merge because someone dies before that happens

i always find myself not wanting to play the game because its boring, basically burnout.

time passes, enter again, decide to play a vehicle i like on top tier, 1st match, 2 mins into the game and the fucking CAS is already touching our balls like nothing, remember how i hate this game because the game is on the same state with cas for YEARS and gaijin does nothing.

leave game.

repeat.

There are more BRs than 12.7.

Gaijin is adding SPAA this year.

Seeing how you have multiple options to defeat both ARH and IR missiles merges are inevitable, that is if you don’t want to run away forever.

SM3 has little to no defensive options and is basically a free kill the moment it is spotted by an enemy jet.
SU-34 is a bit better due to actually being a supersonic ARH slinger, but as I said above not a single missile in the game is a guaranteed kill so dodging those is a perfectly realistic scenario.

I’d also love to see a source for your claim, that is if it isn’t just trust me bro.

Depends what missiles you’re talking about. Kh38s you can fire right off of spawn with a high gaurentee that it’ll get a direct hit. With Hammers, it’s a similar story but with a caveat that it takes longer to reach making it easier for targets to lose LOS and interception. You cannot say the same for mavericks.
