Smoke doesn’t cover Your whole tank and if You drive into it after 25s You will still be visible from the aircraft, not to mention that smoke attracks eye more.
Teammates are random, that is why I once talked about SBMM which You are so against.
Moving doesn’t work against pilots that know what they are doing (I have showed it many times).
Yeah there’s literally 4 viable solutions: better designed maps to fight off cas from the ground, better aa systems to try and balance, or separated combined arms and ground forces q’s, non player AA outside of the map to harass CAS as they have free reign over the nothingness around the battlefield. But gaijin doesn’t seem to even want to begin to change or implement any testing for these types of things. I’m sure there could be a lot more people think of but can’t really do anything until Gaijin does.
I think proper travel times and difficult unlocks would go a long way.
Also making GSB work like GRB (as in: actual matchmaking so you can play whenever) would also functionally give us a tank-only mode due to the significantly barrier of entry to use fighter-bombers for precision bombing tanks using Stick & rudder, no hit markers/scouting and cockpit view.
Idk how well it’d work with guided AGBs, but until early vietnam war with SACLOS/MCLOS style missiles it should still keep the barrier high.
But what You propose just prolongs the time that issue happens, not solves it really or just makes it occur less rather than solving it.
The issue with how currently it is implemented and how things are is that:
We get random teammates with random understanding of what “fun” is. That means that proper team balance already is screwed not to mention the different skill level of players.
Not all classes earn properly and are fun to play with, why bother spawning a clean fighter or SPAA if in some games You won’t meet a single enemy plane and You won’'t earn as much as by just playing the same fighter in air mode or a tank on the ground?
The gameplay that is around taking or defending cirles in a tank/plane game, come on after so many years something could change.
I could go on and on. Gaijin doesn’t want to change the status quo of the things as it is normal that now players are going to pay much more than if things were balanced due to people being more likely to buy “OP” stuff.
