CAS problem

Vietnam?? You serious? One of the worst maps in game for ground battles, every time I’m getting it, i leave, as 3-4 players from both teams.

You want all maps to be like Vietnam? That’s would be disaster.

It’s funny, but previously 2CS6 and ADATS had the same BR.

Before it was ruined.
Now it’s only decent for helicopters.

i dont understand this whatsoever.
this is a videogame, just add a gamemode for people who want to play tanks.
how hard is it? its literally such a simple and clean solution that works for absolutely everyone.

there are plenty of maps that practically force you to sit in spawn the whole game

Game and Ground TTs evolved more than enough to grant us a TO mode. Seeing how you can play air only but can’t do the same for tanks is weird.

it just what people complain… It not relastic enough they keep complainning. Now Leopard and Abrams are more “relastic” Turret basket basically nerf it.

Specifically in regards to top tier, I would make the distinction that it’s not that they don’t want to play AA, it’s that they don’t want to play legitimately useless AA - and that’s what most countries have been left to rot with for years now.

People are begging for better AA on a daily basis. The demand is certainly there, it’s just not being answered.

having a better SPAA would help and i would play it occasionally for some air vs ground pvp, but i dont want to play them 24/7 and sometimes i want to play actual fair ground battles. it would be best if there was an option to play either thing

The thing is that even bringing better SPAA into the game won’t solve the core of the problem.

If I’m able to destroy a player in a tank with my tank why does he gain ability to destroy me back with something I’m not able to fight back while in a tank? Why the person who wins the fight gets put at the disadvantage? I can later spawn in a plane or SPAA, sure, but that doesn’t change the core issue that while in a tank I can’t do anything before I die.

I’ve long been of the opinion that we should have a TO ‘event’, sort of like how naval EC is run.

Perhaps one or two days a week, maybe on weekends when server population is highest (less issues with player fragmentation / queue time inflation). Seems like an easy compromise of all wants / concerns.

Are you slow…. Also stop putting words into my mouth. I said the hills in veitnam are some good cover and concealment. Also maybe your part of the problem if your leaving when you get a map you don’t like all your doing is hurting your team.

The logic is, “I’ve never seen a tank in a dogfight but i’ve sure seen a plane in a tank fight”

yes it would be at most a temporary fix, except it would take more effort than a dedicated tank only mode

if anyone is doubting that CAS is a problem then i invite them to watch this goofy replay, that shows in the later half just how braindead CAS is. there tanks are 1) enganged in a fight with a teammate, and 2) cannot do anything in the first place.
i am literally ruining the fun of every single person involved except for myself. i very casually stole 2 kills from active 1v1 fights.

I don’t think we should be limited to an event only, as our player base has increased multiple times from the many years back when queue times were used as an argument against a new mode.

Tank only is a big pipe dream. Gaijin will never add a tank only mode since it will hurt their revenue along with admitting that GRB have a lot of problem , with those directly linked to CAS itself , and they have to fix them. Which they won’t

No one doubt it , is just that to fix the whole problem it would not be easy. Since even SPAA itself is a big problem on it own.

It might also be very detrimental to their combined arms idea/mode as who knows how many people would flock to TO.

Knowing that to be able to be fully “competitive” in GRB , you will want a line up with with a good amount of CAS/Heli. Meaning you will have to do 3 tech tree for a single nation. A large amount of GRB player would just flock to TO only the moment it drop. That will hurt Gaijin revenue a lot and that seem extremely unlikely.

The best we can do is sort out the SPAA/MAP/CAS problem to the best that we can , cause removing them is not an option. Even tho I also wanted a TO mode , it is simply , not an option

I get where you come from, but we know snail values queue times highly. It’s the reason we can’t get decompression.

If they ain’t even willing to willing to add 0.3 more BR’s, I doubt they’d be willing to split the ground playerbase in half.

I think permanent TO will never happen. But time limited weekly event is within the realms of possibility.

I think the queue times is just a scapegoat that’s pretty much ran it’s course. I don’t know on what servers you play, but on EU you basically find the match almost instantly when playing at or close to peak hours. Sometimes you can’t even cancel the search fast enough.

I highly doubt that increasing max BR to 12.3 would have any negative impact on the queue times.

I experience that too, and I am sure snail would make the point, that it’s their reluctance to do things like decompress / add TO, which is what makes this possible.

Ultimately, I have no idea how severely these things would impact queue times. Whilst I’m sure players like you or I wouldn’t mind waiting longer, potentially even substantially so, if it meant more enjoyable gameplay, I guess whatever info snail is looking at is telling them that a sizeable part of the playerbase wouldn’t be that willing to take the hit.
