Last time at /r I was this early into a heated argument, someone asked me to shoot down planes before entering the cap. There is a reason why I am not the kind to play the objectives.
The most funny moment is when they tell You to transform Your tank into another plane or SPAA.

Stats don’t lie, that much is true, but the stats that are available for War Thunder only show how well someone is doing in the PvP aspect of the game.
There is more to winning, which is the ulterior motive, than just that.

Of course there is more to “winning”. But if You are losing more than You gain for Your team, You are not really a good team player ;).
The topic was bad players defending the game (claim I have made), which can be checked by viewing players profiles in discussion. Many times a “bad” player was defending the game while “good” player was saying that there are problems with balance etc., which is mostly driven by the fear of getting “worse” if things change.
