Captured Strv-122A in USSR tech-tree

No.

Gaijin has moved away from adding captured tanks, and now only seem to be adding foreign vehicles that were trialed, or used by a subtree.

Trialed centauro is the only feasible NATO addition to the upper ranks of the RU tech tree

Nah

Damn, still impressed ppl do not understand we ain’t seeing any captured equipment that was present in recent conflicts.

I mean, there is a valid reason to want to play good tanks under different circumstances (e.g. tech trees), yet reasoning behind addition of such vehicles is often… well, too controversial to say the least

Captured Pantsir to USA.

Then what the point of grinding tech tree then? when I just grind one nation and can play it all.
tech tree should be for a reason not put random thing together.

Something being trialed pretty much holds less or at the very best same value as captured units.

Was there one recently captured? @Wifi-Soldier98
Thought all of them were destroyed

True, yet tt is not only about uniqueness but also possibilities. It is not good if, say, Soviet tt gets all sort of vehicles from all countries, however, nations like Italy benefited quite a lot from Hungarian Leo2A7 at top tier, as well as Sweden from Finnish lower rank tanks (Swedish lower ranks are quite robust to play)… I mean that thing

that why i never like sub tree Idea at the begin with
and i was right about one thing keep adding sub tree the game going to become a total mess
and it is now.

one was captured a few months ago in the Sumy. I haven’t found any information on its where abouts recently though.

Eh, some nations would then be too limited at capabilities all around the table (e.g. Italy not having proper top tier MBT because Hungary, Japan not having proper guided A2G ordnance and attackers because Thailand, and some nations like Romania or Pakistan do not make proper tt by their own while having interesting and unique designs)

So far, the only real options for captures as of recent are the Leopard 2A4 and a M1A1 SA-UKR, ran out of fuel and abandoned and pulled out.

Recovered or retrieved, not captured. I don’t remember any Strv 122 on the Victory Day 2025 exhibition.

Regarding the topic, I disagree with any foreign non-Soviet vehicle for Soviet Union, this may and should be applied to any other major Tech-tree except official sub-tech trees.

I agree, but since we will probably see a T-90A in the U.S. tree the idea is well and alive.

Why is an option of modern captured equipment still discussed?

I mean, there was a dozen of them at least already, and there is no official sign we are getting at least one of such anytime soon. Hell, I wouldn’t even consider it in a long run in fact. Have we seen any captured T-55s/62s/72s in American TT? I am sure there is such a possibility, however we didn’t get these for the past like 6 years. Have we seen F-5 or some other F-series plane in USSR TT? None.

Like, how many times it should be proven we are not getting any captured equipment past WW2, but people be talking about “real” possibilities of goddamn 2025 captured ones
