Description: The Caproni Ca331 O.A. was an Italian all-metal light bomber made in the Second World War by the Italian company Caproni. Back in 1938, when the Regia Aeronautica submitted a new requirement for a new reconfiguration aircraft with attack capabilities, the Italian engineer Cesare Pallavicino started to work on a new project to meet those requirements. The new aircraft was equipped with a pair of Isotta Fraschini RC.40s and a full glass cockpit to give the operators a full view of the nearby territory. The first prototype took off for the first time on August 31, 1940. Initially, the aircraft was equipped with two Piaggio’s-made propellers, but they were later changed to Alfa Romeo’s-made propellers due to their inadequacy. The aircraft was delivered to the Regia Aeronautica in 1941, and after various tests, it proved to be a very capable machine able to satisfy the requirements of the competition. Although it matched the requirements emitted by the competition, no orders were placed, and the aircraft was returned to Caproni. It was later sent to Germany for evaluations after the Luftwaffe required the aircraft to be tested. Again, it proved to be a very well-made machine, but like the first time, no orders were placed. The only prototype of this version managed to survive until the Italian armistice, when it was seized by the Germans and later scrapped.

Why it should be in game: It could give to the Italian tt a small and fast light bomber for lower br.
