Description: The Caproni Ca310 Libeccio was an Italian twin-engine light bomber of the thirties. It was designed in early 1937 by the Italian engineer Cesare Pallavicino. It was based on the previous Ca309, which was based on the Ca308. The first prototype flew for the first time in late 1937, and it was already able to show off its great flight performances. The aircraft was described as very maneuverable; indeed, it was capable of making a similar turn to an acrobatic aircraft. The Regia Aeronautica was interested in the new aircraft and ordered a small batch of them. They were used in the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939, where they were able to do their part despite having multiple problems with the engines. In the Second World War, they were not used much. They were deployed on the African front, but they performed only light bombing against small targets. It is not clear if any Ca310 survived until the armistice and was used by the ANR or the Aeronautica Cobelligerante. But there arenβt any known reports that mention that, so most likely no. Indeed, few data are available about the service in the Regia Aeronautica since they were not considered much.
Why it should be in the game: it could give to the Italian TT a new low tier bomber
