Just posting a cheeky little comment to see if this plane can get a bit more attention.
doing the same then
good lord this would be amazing- but a nightmare for bombers at it’s br. +1 nonetheless
Shes beautiful
badly need this
I think this and maybe also the campini caproni n1 can be a interesting way to import in the game ww2 italian’s jets, honestlyfor the second one idk if in the original peoject there was already the dislocations of the weapons, also because was only a prototype
Unfortunatly the CC1 and 2 were not intended for combat, and also the prototypes were not fitted for any weapons.
Dammit!
+1
Hey, if a prototype was actually made then I’m all for it.
+1 from me.
+1 for any Italian prop plane
Wow, that’s cool! You got the original drawings of the Caproni Ca 183 Bis, I hope Gaijin puts it in the game, it was 80% built
Would this be good ingame? Because I know the C.C.2 wasn’t actually all that good or fast (despite being really big advancement in technology)
Though the jet in additition to the prop might make it pretty good, almost like a mini-ariete (jet functioning like a mini-afterburner).
I found them online.
They was partially different even if made by same company.
very good, if you got the original drawings you probably have pictures of it before it was destroyed by American bombers.
The Caproni Ca183 bis would be good, yes; its performance would be somewhat similar to the Focke-Wulf Ta 152 due to the large wing for greater lift during flight. Besides being Italy’s first hybrid fighter, the Caproni Ca183 bis could be an event fighter.
Just hoping for those pics.
Probably buried on a private collection.
Sorry to inform you that it almost surely wasn’t even started.
The drawings are dated “6th of October 1944”, and at that point, the Axis’ industrial base had been strained by bombings and they could barely afford to build the stuff they were already making, so there’s no way they could’ve built a flying armed prototype from scratch in less than 8 months.
Also, the plans show no evidence of any “afterburner”, suggesting that the fan in the fuselage was only meant to increase airflow for the intercooler (section HH) and the water/oil radiators (section II), giving a mild speed boost as a byproduct.
