are they going to fix this soon. really been bumming me out since the update

im pretty sure they made it so that ARM do not work against plane radars, its intentional, sadly.

According to gaijin, the very laws of nature prevent you from locking onto the airial radars due to the simple fact radars mounted on planes are a different species and have not been put into the memory of the arm.

idk, i also wanted to shoot at enemy planes with ARM but Gaijin removed their ability to lock onto planes in the dev server. You used to be able to do it when the nuclear thunder first came out, it was pretty funny and I have no clue why Gaijin removed it

I think its a good thing, air to air Kh31 would have been a nightmare. One of the few time Gaijin made a sensible rule to a new addition.

a KH31PD lunched at 0 m/s can reach a target 25km away in 30 seconds and impact at 1100 m/s, while the AIM-54C needs a double that time and it will be going just below mach 1, and the KH doesn’t give off an rwr warning…

and turns worse, can be defeated by turning off the radar, no proxy fuse so on,

I have a feeling that they’ve disabled ARM’s locking onto planes because they can’t figure out how to make radar directional. For example, during the original April Fools Nuclear Escalation, you could actually lock onto planes with ARM’s, but the plane you are locking onto could be flying away (I.E. not sending any radar waves towards you) and the ARM that you launched would still be able to track the enemies radar and hit the target from a very long distance while being undetected. Just a guess of mine but they were definitely not working as intended originally.

its MUCH faster then aim54
