Canadian Ground Forces Tech Tree

To be honest, I don’t think the problems of the weakness of Challys should be blamed on the engineers or designers in the real world.
In the real world, Chally 1 used L26A1 as primary APFSDS while Chally 2 uses L28A1 and L23/L23A1 was used by Chieftain series.
Unfortunately, because of some “unknown” reasons, the Chally 1 designed by Gaijin didn’t get its L26A1 (L26A1 is given to Chally 2’s L30 cannon lol)and L28A1 is still missing.
So Chally 2 designed by Gaijin can only use APFSDS whose targets are early T-72&T-80 to fight against the latest T-72&T-80 series and even the powerful T-90 series as long as Chally’s NATO allies in the game LOL.
Also, there’s a classic problem that Chally 2 designed by Gaijin are all lack of armor they should have while their mobility didn’t get any change between the game and the real.
That’s why Brits players can only struggle with those slow, lack of powerful armament, poor at armor Challys QWQ.
And that’s why I really want to get Canadian Leopard 2s into UK TT as a Brits player lol.

Having the tanks of germany, the air of usa and the naval of… Canada. this tech tree will be very interesting to see implemented.

+1, I support this being an independent tech tree, there’s more than enough to fill out the lower battle ratings. I’ve never liked the idea of trees that don’t start from rank 1.
Is there a Air Force tree suggestion?

I will not be making one myself but I am assisting a few other users with making one.

If Canada ever comes as a tree, do you think it will be added with the f18 in it’s air tree? I think it would be sick.

If its made a tree i shall get all of it main vehicles and CF-118 (Canadian name for their Hornets) should be one of them

CF-188 is actually the Canadian name it’s just CF-18 is what I call the “Common name” used by the public.

If the F-18 is in-game by then definitely it’s Canada’s only fighter since the 80s.

Why they add the extra 1

I don’t know. Military designations have been always in the 100s since unification.

All the military names of Canada’s fighters.
Canuck - CF-100
Voodoo- CF-101
Arrow - CF-105
Starfighter -CF-111/CF-104
Freedom fighter- CF-116
Hornet- CF-188

Well, they all have common names that are the same as the US ones just with CF.

So, I don’t feel like Canada alone truly has enough ground vehicles to field an independent tech tree, and I played with combining Australia/New Zealand and Canada for a tech tree. WW2 was a very rich and nice era, but after WW2, there were a few decent lineups and a bunch of gaps.
Now hear me out here, what if…South Korea could be combined with Australia/New Zealand and Canada? It fills every post war gap the Aussies and Canadians have. AND it solves the question of where South Korea could be added without offending anyone. Australia and Canada both helped the South in the Korean War. I just don’t know what that tree would be called, but as a combination that makes sense, it’d be a really nice tree.

Odd choice

I disagree, the Canadian tree is the only suggested tree aside from the Yugoslavian tech tree that would actually work well independently, it fills 5 lines quite well, and I’m sure its air tree will look just as good.

No Poland or Switzerland :( ?

Would those work independently without sub-trees?

From my POV both could, but Switzerland would appreciate one.
I’d name more countries but I don’t want to overload the chat again :P
If interested it could be talked about in DM, but not in here.

I see way too many BRs with only 2 or 3 tanks max.

You mean like lots of trees in the game? There are some that have more than a handful of BR with one vehicle max.

And besides BRs and suggestions are just that suggestions and are bound to change just as the change all the time in-game.
