Canadian Ground Forces Tech Tree

Respectfully, you could say the same for the UK. What does the UK have to do with the CF188A?

If the Leopard 2A4M is in the German tree, shouldn’t the CF188A be in the USA tree? Both vehicles are manufactured by their indigenous nation and licensed by Canada, yet the CF188A goes to the UK, not its manufacturing/origin country, whereas the Leopards DO go to their origin country.

Additionally, why are Dutch Leopard 2A4’s in the French tree? Hungarian in the Italian tree? Why can’t the Canadian be in the UK tree?

Hungary is an Italian subtree

Canada is not a British subtree and does not need it as India is gonna be added sooner than later. Most likely the next update or update after that as arjun was leaked

US already has all the F-18 so there was no point in adding them to US tree and they were also not needed by US. Australian and Canadian vehicle are only given to nation that need them or nation that they originated from

IIRC Netherland is a French subtree

Its not only leopard. M1A1 AIM was added to US

Come to think of it India won’t help a lot in ground

This

I see, this all makes sense. In this case, all the more reason to give CANZ a unique tree.

There we go again, each nation’s fighting to split Canada apart

The end is bad buuuuut still interesting

Oh, that channel.

Seen some other videos of theirs. Not only do they use AI, but they are poorly researched, too.

Well…I learned that we made tankettes like italy

I deleted the game, I will come back when gaijin will care for us…so never xD

As this photo proves, your source is indeed correct about it being a Cockerill, although to what extent it is related to the Canadian military I could not tell you.

Unfortunately I do not know where this image and snippet of text comes from.

A photo without the smoke! Thank you, I had been looking for one.

Hmmm, this claims it’s a Piranha and not a LAV… I’ll have to see if can find what it is from.

Piranha and LAV are often used interchangably, as seen in the accompanying image I found from the same source which does actually refer to Canadian vehicles.

I see. I can see that for them, even more so for stuff that came out around the AVGPs when they were still very much close to the Piranhas compared to the LAVs of today.

Very true, seeing as how Switzerland also uses the 6x6 variant in their own military, it can be easy to mix things up as a casual viewer today, or even a reporting source of the time period.

Ya… The only downside is that a name can give ownership of something to someone else.

As the name Piranha nearly made me think it was a Swiss project.

Well, Gaijin is the one that calls the shots, and so all that is necessary is ensuring that they themselves don’t get things mixed up. For example, there are many LAV variants currently being attributed to the U.S. that were actually built in Canadian factories by GDLS-C for export markets, and so I think it’s appropriate to start calling those ones Canadian-made as well.

If Gaijin adds a subtree or even a whole new tree for canada, how will they add the leopard 2a4m that’s in germany right now? Is there another variant of the leopard 2a4m?
