For a second I thought you meant naval cruisers

I wouldn’t be opposed to something like that, I quite like these national vehicle threads.

Lol, that’s not too bad of a thread idea. But this is something else.

This came from a convo on the Canada Discord server and do to the growing number of Canadian-built cruiser tank and their variants in WT, and could come in the near future. (tho theoretically, with the title Canadian operator cruiser tanks during WW2 would be on the table to talk about as well)

Aren’t there different hull variations? With 6-Pdr and 75mm on earlier and later hulls?

I’m very new to the Rams so had no idea about the late cast hull MG. Is there a definitive list of which variants were exported to which country postwar? eg. Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal

Eh, sorta? Still going through and added variants, but there are a few I’m unsure if they existed(do to conflicting info), like a Ram II with an MG turret and 6-pdr Mk V.

Planning on adding operator nations soon. For the Ram, what I can remember is that Canada, the UK, the Netherlands operated it, and the US & Switzerland tested a variant.

I believe Portugal used some Girzzlys and their variants, but I’ll have to double-check on the Girzzly side of things.

Very nice

Thanks for linking my Dutch RAM tank suggestions.

The Netherlands bought all the 40 QF75 armed Ram 2’s after the war. Together with this order were also two RAM Command tanks (From what I know these are RAM 2 tanks with dummy guns), and two RAM I ARV recovery vehicles.

This is taken from the “Wiel en Rups” book by Sander Ruys

Nice work, are we discounting the Canadian built Valentine?

Valentine is an infantry tank. So, well, not discounting, they don’t belong here as this thread covers cruiser tanks.

I’m an idiot, I completely forgot it was an infantry tank

Found them. There’s several hull variants. Some of the earlier ones can be found with either a 6-Pdr Mk III or Mk V. Some of the later ones can be found with either a 6-Pdr Mk V or QF 75mm. For example:

75mm with auxiliary turret hull.

75mm with late hull with ball mount.

Ya, I have those suggestions linked and both 75mm ones, have an entry.

My starting post should have every Ram and Grizzly variant that I can easily find now.
