Can you turn all crew voice off?

Is there a way?

All navy crew sound like absolute psychotic clowns having an existential crisis whenever you start taking a lot of hits, ESPECALLY German and Italian crews (seriously the Italian freak out crew sounds so stereotyped that I’d be offended if I were more Italian than I am).

I want to turn this off. It’s unenjoyable. I don’t want to turn any other sound off just my own screaming clown crew.

And to think the crew voices have been heavily toned down from when they first came in… not sure what words you would use to describe them how they were originally! :)

In the Options | Sound, you can set “Speech and FMV Volume” to 0. This will silence those crew voices, but I’m not sure what other voices/speech it affects. But give it a try.

I’ve tried that in the past. It silences too much, it silences more than just your spaz crew.

I absolutely hate the voice acting in this game. It’s made to appeal to weird 13 year olds.

I reckon they should implement an improved crew voice options tab in the settings, give it more customisation like disabling certain callouts or having all your vehicles use a specific nations voice (such as Australian…)

AIR!!! Breaking reports, enemy spotted!

I was going to suggest the “Speech/FMV” but @Measured beat me to it, You can switch crew language to “game options” that will default it to what ever language you have the game in. It wont solve the problem, but it might take the edge off if the Germans and Italians are especially bad for voice acting.

This is what I hate about Gaijin:

They have both Brits AND Americans as crew

Both speak English

Gaijin knows I connect from North America

Gaijin knows my IP

Gaijin knows where I make purchases from

Gaijin knows I’m not a Brit

What does Gaijin do?

Makes my American crews Brits

the voice-cracking divorced middle-aged woman voice thats in american tanks for some reason gives me violent urges

ffs why is a bitter old school teacher in my tank

That one separate from the “crew.” That’s like the “commander narrator” type thing they added a while back. I don’t like it either.
