First of all, I don’t want you to think I want it removed from the game or anything like that. Everything I’m going to say is based on my experience and knowledge of the game, as I believe it’s very serious to ignore something like this and it could be one of the causes of the game’s current state, or at least that’s what I think (you may agree or disagree, and that’s fine).
To begin, I want to clarify that I don’t own the BMPT in any of its variants, so I’m basing this on what I see, which means I could be wrong about some things.
Supposedly, according to sources on YouTube and Instagram, I saw that they were only going to increase the weapon’s spread when firing, and they supposedly said that this would worsen the vehicle. Is this true? In my opinion, no, and here’s why. The vehicle itself isn’t bad; on the contrary, it works extremely well, and everyone knows it. But its machine gun is the least of its problems, since the basis of its lethality lies in its armor and guided missiles. And I’m not just saying this from experience; On the WT wiki itself, you can see the scores for each of the vehicle’s characteristics, and almost all of them are green, which I find unusual, although I could be wrong. The point is, I don’t think the Battle Rating (BR) selected for the vehicle is the best, since it has an advantage over other vehicles and, as I said, performs extremely well because it’s difficult to destroy or temporarily disable.
And why do I say this? In the last few weeks, I’ve been playing in the United States with a BR of 10.7 to 12.0, so I’ve faced it in practically every match. I think, if I count them, there were only a maximum of three matches where I was able to destroy it. In the others, I barely managed to inflict minimal damage, or my shell disintegrated upon impact with its armor. I was so unlucky that on several occasions I thought it was a bug in the game, but I only reported it once because, after investigating, I realized that, being millimeters from the point of impact (and the shot being canceled), it should have passed through the target.
The problem was that, when I submitted the report, I received no response whatsoever. I included not only the web address of the replay, but also original and edited photos and videos to demonstrate my investigation, where I attempted to recreate the shot. It’s been 25 days since I submitted the report and I still haven’t received a response, whereas with previous reports, they responded and dismissed them much more quickly. (I even thought they were doing it on purpose for some reason, but I thought it would be better to express this here rather than make a fuss.)
Therefore, my conclusion is not that the vehicle should be weakened, but rather that the battle ratio should be corrected, as they did previously. It’s worth noting that the added spread to the aforementioned weapon isn’t entirely inaccurate, as videos recorded from a real vehicle showed that when both cannons were fired, they vibrated constantly, generating a noticeable spread. The point is, they shouldn’t be so careless when trying to achieve a supposedly balanced game. I admit I already struggle to destroy high-level Russian vehicles in general. But something of this magnitude is beyond me. I recently stopped playing because my sanity was at risk, and now that I’ve tried again, I’ve realized these vehicles are no different at all. If it’s relevant, I want to mention that I still have the evidence of that unanswered report, but I’d like to read your opinions, since Gaijin doesn’t seem to care much about what its players think unless they feel pressured.
As it is, I don’t know if I should play again, and I don’t even know if I will. It’s not healthy, and I don’t enjoy it. Maybe I enjoy it a little more than before because I’ve had a break, but there’s always something that ruins the fun, so I uninstalled it again. I prefer to spend my money on other games that I actually enjoy and where it’s actually useful, which is what I did today, and it worked, hehe.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to read my text, as I’m using a translator. Please excuse me if anything is unclear. I also apologize to BMPT fans, as I don’t intend to offend anyone or for them to take it personally. I’d even love to own one, but I’m still a long way from getting one. I simply want to express my discomfort with this vehicle, and I would appreciate it if someone could understand. I may have omitted important points or forgotten something, but I think this will be enough to express what I’m trying to say. (P.S.: I’m writing this here because I was banned from the Steam discussion forums (I deserved it, and I’m not going to argue about it), and now I’m trying to be more mature and decent as a gamer and as a person, although it’s difficult -_-").
