Indeed, and I will keep hooting and hollaring until it gets fixed. :D
Can’t forget the poor little FireFlash, which only works in arcade :(
Man, kudos to OP for keeping this issue alive. Bumping in solidarity for an iconic weapon developped by my country.
I’m playing it right now, and the initial spading was torture (flying this boat without boosters changed me…) but once you get the shitass SARH missiles and the Nords + engine it’s not that bad as long as your team is somewhat alive.
I’ve had a good streak with Nords so far, very few hits and plenty of crits and severes, maybe they fixed them a bit?
The generic fix for missiles improved nord performance in head ons. They’re still inconsistent in other aspects and even within the head on They’re not as consistent as they used to be.
Vautour is a tough one, it’s pretty good if you can isolate someone and bait them slow. The flaps on the vautour are funny.

theyre insane in headons, got 4 kills with them in this match by flying like a complete jackass lol.
They mostly work in head ons, but I wouldn’t call them insane. You should’ve seen them in 2020 lol.
Regardless, something with them is still scuffed, as I pointed out, every other aspect is weird still.
one can only imagine what power you and others held then, I read they could guide much faster, that alone makes me mad I only started playing this year.
That’s how I’ve used them.
They work well enough most of the time however they do occasionally proxy behind the jet for some reason and do jack shit, or fail to proxy at all
i’ve had that happen maybe like 2-3 times, they sometimes crit but most times they completely explode the guy i’m targeting.
What I love doing also is unleashing a barrage of 3-4 nords at some poor sap trying to headon, priceless, “go my missiles”.
Yeah old nords were like mini nukes, as a 51lb warhead should be.
These are some clips I have laying around on my server ranging from 2020 - 2023
I wasted hours with the swift f7 before realising the vids i watched were from when the missiles did actually work.
Broken missile - and still sits at same BR though?
Its really shoddy work by gajin. Levels way below iv ever witnessed before from any company- even EA.
Remove it, lower BR or fix it.
Its not that hard to have the things you put in game to actually work
It looked bad (but fun).even when it worked though
Remove it if gajin CBA fixing it.
Then players only have to waste money (if choose) and not time added on top
How many hours have people wasted trying to make something work that is in game that was broken, was it years ago?
The Swift F.7 itself is a really good plane. It doesn’t need to go down in BR.
I found it really mediocre for 8.7… Doesn’t help the guns are annoying as hell to aim AND off centre
Used to have a working missile now has nadda- just logic dictates minus 0.3BR
Its an OK vic. But what does it have over say the mig15 bis at 8.0, sabre- 8.0 etc etc?
The 15/17s and 86s/CL13s are the best in the bracket, and yet they lowered their BRs for no reason. So it’s less so a fault of the Swift and more that gaijin just doesn’t know what they’re doing very much.
Swift has the acceleration, and airbrake flaps. It’s a silly goofy plane that tends to be more long playstyle, but with the current playerbase success can easily be had being aggressive like I do.
“I wonder if AA20s are working yet?”
I unlocked the Vautour IIN/L today and have used the AA.20 Nord’s, I just assumed they were absolute ass missiles for anything except a B-29 or Tu-4, however I have scored a few detonations with everything from F3H’s to F86’s/MiG-15’s and it always crits, and not the good kind. Aircraft are usually completely flyable afterwards.
Any underperformance of these missiles is pretty unacceptable given the complete overperformance of other missiles at higher tiers, that require next to no skill, whereas Nords/Fireflash are some of the most skillful AAMs int he game.
Maybe with the X-4 coming Gaijin might finally take a look at the proxy issue of manually guided missiles
