Can we please talk about the commander leaving his seat to replace the gunner with a commander gun handling system in place

Can we please talk about the commander gun handling systen when my commander tries to replace my dead gunner and making that commander gun handling system useless with that.

i mean…cmon… the commander has the tools to use the gun in his hands and is still leaving his position to take over the control from the gunner seat… and meanwhile making it not possible to shot back… this is really infuriating.

Gunner dead = two cycles, one quick and one slow, quick one if for time to active commander gun handling and slow one for replace the seat… BUT PLEASE WHY do they try to take over that seat ffs? Just stay put on your commander seat ffs!

Only newer tanks have a hunter-killer system, so in older tanks the commander still has to move seats.

You ignored the point of the post
The issue is on tanks that DO have the hunter-killer system the commander still switches seats

What?

Usually the part where you load the gun its in the part where the gunner and loader are, so if you want to reload your gun you need to change seats. Autoloader tanks should not suffer from this issue tho.

What? no! The loader loads, the gunner aims and shoots, with the hunter killer system the commander can also aim and shot, so there is no point in him switching seat, and when he does the hunter killer system gets deactivated in the moment the commander “swaps”

Ok so if the gunner and loader dies, whos gonna reload the gun?

Some do some don’t. Even those that do have TC gun controls, they don’t have the full controls the gunner’s position has. Change ammo/weapon, input a range, etc.

From the gaming perspective, tanks have two key positions that have to be manned to be considered functional, driver and gunner. So by Gaijin’s rules, a surviving crewmember will go to either of those positions.
WT is a arcade game not a simulator.

If this bothers you, how can you manage to play this game at all? lol.

who talks about the damn loader?

When the gunner dies, the commander on many tanks can take over the gun controll to shoot, but when the bloody commander decides to swap position with the gunner u can NOT shoot anymore till he finished switching.

Tf, we talk about a mechaninc ingame, not rl and this mechanic is simply badly implemented.

Ingame the commander with gun controll can do the very same as the gunner (if system is in place and almost every 10.0+ has it). But if the commander starts swapping position the gun controll is locket till he finished swapping the position, making the cammander gun controll not usable at many times, making you ultimately die on the enemy as u cant shoot back any longer.

In other words, thanks to the commander trying to swap onto the dead gunner position, u die for no reason, as the commander could have stay put making you able to kill the enemy in front of you that killed your gunner 1sec ago.

There is simply no reason at all for the commander ingame, with ingame mechanics, to swap positions and NO ONE in RL would do that aswell, as this System got developed for this very situation that the whole tanks dosnt need to rely on that very single gunner person.

You are complaining that the ingame mechanic isn’t matching IRL.
I’m telling you that WT isn’t a sim.
Figure it out.

Whats your goal? Start a fight? U know, i know, everyone knows, thats not the point.

The point is still and stays the same, the game mechanic is NOT working as it SHOULD be INGAME!
