Just let us choose, same as with universal and nation backups. That’s why many players consider it to be a bug (can choose daily or universal backup and daily or nation backup, but must use daily if you have vehicle backup) and why I opened a bug report.

I"m late to the party, I am not a forum regular. But this is something I find deeply annoying as well. the lack of choice is strange. Because when you don’t have vehicle specific backups you can choose either your daily, universal, or nation specific, but when you do, nah sorry just your dailies. How and when I use my backups should be up to me in my view.
To address Dodo-Dud’s point, to say most people have x preference seems disingenuous, without providing some poll. One can only assume because of his personal preference that others feel the same way.

I don’t see this as a bad thing the daily’s replenish daily for free, your vehicle backups don’t unless you purchase more from universal backups which are finite or bought with ge, you can only spawn a vehicle twice anyway even with backups. Build some backup stockpiles.
The bad thing is that you are forced to spend a daily even if the vehicle haves a backup. Dailies are more useful for vehicles without a backup and this ends in silly stuff like not respawning a vehicle that haves backups in order to save the daily for something else…
It’s a restriction so poorly thought that players mistake it for a bug.

Backups a backup the daily’s are free, vehicle ones aren’t I’d rather spend the free ones and stockpile the universal and vehicle ones for when I need them
Yes, but the issue is not with using/saving the universal backups. The issue is with the backups that are already on a specific vehicle. They/we cannot chose to use those specific backups first, before the Daily Free backups or the Universal ones.
Three “types” of backups: Free Daily, Universal, and Backups which are already spent/applied to a specific vehicle.
This is annoying but if I’m reading this correct I think Gaijin just needs to stop being laxy and make it so we can still choose which backup we use instead of being forced to use the free dailys

Oh come on, it is simple materialist logic. One thing will be gone in a matter of hours, the other will last for years. Both perform the very same same purpose. Which would the average person prefer to use?
Sure, choice would be nice but it isn’t a devious plan to make you waste your free backups.
Yeah sorry I don’t get the issue I’d rather not use my limited number of universal and vehicle backups when I have free ones I can use first then move in to the not so renewable backups if I need to

I totally agree about saving the Universal Backups over the Daily Free ones. I didn’t understand the issue OP was talking about at first either lol. Now that I understand the issue they would like changed, I do agree with them.

Yeah I’m all for the choices and all but a backup is a backup it’s not like you’re going to be able to spawn the same vehicle more than twice anyway
You are missing one aspect…
I use up my 5 daily backups (sometimes on vehicles that have their own)
In my next battle I want to use a vehicle 2x - but - it has no backup for itself. Gee - I wish I still had one of those daily backups that I was FORCED to use, even though I had vehicle backup on that earlier vehicle.
See the problem?

Yeah I guess I’m also in an odd spot where I’ve kind of accumulated over 250 universal backups this was before the daily’s came in as well 🤣 I have backups coming out of my ears at the minute🫣

How about you stick to what I actually do say instead of creating a narrative that I feel that the rationale behind the lack of options as being deceptive? again a dishonest portrayal of what I am trying to convey doesn’t help your argument.
It is materialistic in that I’d rather use my dailies on vehicles that don’t have any currently on them.

Exactly, Gaijin forces us to spend a more useful backup (can be used any time of the day on any vehicle) to save one that we can only use on that specific vehicle… the logic seems faulty here, why should the less useful backup be spared at the cost of wasting a more useful one?
Or, force the players to not respawn in order to not waste a daily, or play certain nations/vehicles first until running out of dailies, or any other bothersome tactics to not waste the more useful backups on vehicles who already have good-for-nothing-else vehicle backups…

Not sure if someone has mentioned this, but I’ve found that I can choose between different backups when playing a different tech tree. I main Germany and can only choose daily backups, but when I play other nations I get the option for daily, vehicle and nation specific backups.
My buddy has the same problem but for Sweden and another for Russia and they main those nations. So it seems like it only happens for the nation you play the most.

I play all the nations and it’s the same problem with each. Vehicle back-up never shows as an option.
When you play other nations, have you already used up your 5 daily back-ups?
I am grinding Sweden and France and the issue is the same both for Sweden and France, although I had more backups for France and was when I noticed that can’t choose vehicle backup if there’s still any daily backup

I’m sure I still had daily backups, but after logging in again it stopped giving me the option for choosing different backups when I was playing Russia, so that’s great :\
I don’t think it’s just vehicle backups I had a few not showing me a choice for universal backups 🤔
