The small version of Tunisia was made way better, but I haven’t played the new big version yet. Sinai was also made much better due to you now being able to play the objective instead of having all 3 objectives overlooked by a large hill. It didn’t make for good gameplay, and it promoted spawncamping/frontal engagements/cqc combat in order to take the hill (and win).
Pradesh sucks because it’s a “drive for 15 seconds then fire at people leaving spawn” type of map, similar to the old variant of large Tunisia. I found it so funny that people praised that as good map design.
That’s just a consequence of WT having less than 10 actually good and well designed maps.
I dont know why people still thinking open maps = camping. When in the small urban maps the most of the players just stay camping behind a corner near the cap zones the entire battle.
You can find campers in all maps and modes not only in big/open maps.
Wut??? Sinai is the probalby the only good old map not ruined by gaijin and the more closer to real tank battle sceneario.
Well that may be the reason why Gaijin does not make more big maps. If most player base have them on ban list then why bother making more of them. We already know that one of the reasons, why players leave after one death, is map they do not like and ODL have much bigger impact on large maps than on small maps.
This is unfortunate reality of game where players of different interests are forced into same queue.
I personally hate large maps especially Red Desert, Pradesh and Surroundings of Volokolamsk. Gameplay is just boring there. Most of time I am very passive just watching YT video on second monitor and just leave after 9 minutes because I know I will not have crew lock anymore and sometimes I won’t spawn at all. I also hate too small maps like Advance to Rhine. Mid sized maps are just best.
